No curtain poles here yet Fidget. The windows have shutters so none needed tho I will make some when we get around to decorating each room downstairs. They'll add colour and make it feel cosier. I'm assuming the kitties are now too big to try and climb them.

Hadn't even thought about Christmas decorations - it's the first time in two years we've got a home for them to go in!
I'm currently making felt robin's. I'm not sure what I will do with them. Mother has a felt cutting machine so we got a little carried away (I have enough for 13!).
Ah ha! I discovered today they have a felt cutting machine at Patchwork but they won't bring it out to play till next week and it only has hearts and stars and circles. No good for my Xmas trees and dove and Xmas pud.

Evening everyone. I’ve enjoyed lazing in bed and reading all your cheerful chatter. Can’t remember much, but loved seeing Reggie again. He’s a beautiful fellow. Too early to be thinking about Christmas for us. Our son’s birthday to get through first, and I think the plastic tree will have to do. I’m not even sure if the family are coming down for Christmas. We haven’t spoken about it.
its a bit cool this morning. I need to get my shoulders under the bedclothes again.
Evening all. Just on my way home from progeny concert/show no. 4 of 6. Just Wednesday and Saturday to go. It was just woodwind this evening and was lovely. Bumped into a college friend I haven't seen in 20+ years - turns out our kids both play flute at the same school!
Well the plan was to intersperse RHS revision with garden jobs today, but the weather had other ideas so I spent almost the whole day drawing diagrams of plant cells, stems etc etc., apart from a quick trip to the library to search for a great (great?) uncle on Ancestry.
Those wellies sound divine, Wonky. Can't beat comfy, warm feet.
Enjoy your patchwork Obxx. And Bon Voyage Hosta!

As for kitties climbing trees, Lenny the leopard (neighbours bengal cat) was seen 15 ft up a silver birch, raiding a wood pigeons nest. They bought him a collar with a bell. He managed to lose that in 24 hours. He takes them presents of dead mice, frogs, toads etc, and left me a dead squirrel on the back doorstep. He is trying to move in with us , as he hasn't taken to their new puppy. The other dog is a miniature yorkie, he could beat that up easily. The puppy is going to be bigger than him. When I try and put him over the fence, and tell him to go home, He swears at me quite vociferously.

The top of our xmas tree gets tie wrapped to the curtain pole in the bay window. I hope that will stop the neighbours cat from climbing it.

Hello Pat
.

The Skinks like to climb as well, Fidget. Here’s one peeping at me from behind a cupboard.
