It’s interesting that I’m familiar with a wide range of plants, but I lived in Darwin for 13 years, so knew the tropical ones, then to Canberra for about 25 years where again I had a garden, then Melbourne which is more coastal-Mediterranean, and now in the mountains where we get snowy weather in Winter and hot dry summers. No wonder the old brain sometimes gives up.

Hope I can help you again. It’s god fun to try to remember plants I’ve not seen for years.

Time for sleep now I think.

We had a blackout tonight from about 7pm til 10 pm, so we decided to take our kindles to bed.

LP - have a great trip and celebrations.

LG - lovely to see you popping in.  Glad the migraine has been conquered.

Dove - pond still scary and we really do need to see how far it will fill up before I can plant things.  Seeing it in clear daylight there is a shelf at the higher end that may be better for the gunnera and one of the willows but it's all guesswork at the mo.

Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.
