Hello , Oberlix , Flanders looks a lovely place , we visited the Toyne Cote cemetery , Flanders Field museum in the Cloth Hall , The Remembrance Concert in the Cathedral and Last Post at the Menin Gate on the Sunday , it was very moving experience
Would have liked to spend longer at the Cemetery and the Musuem , might come again at a less busy time
We eat lots of tomatoes ? , finished picking home grown ones weeks ago
Use lots of candles , the bits left I use on the open fire ?, in fact lit one tonight
It is a big hole. No idea it was that big or that deep. Masses of bull rush, brambles, nettles and other nasties removed along with several goat willows.
I shall wait and see how it fills if we ever get any rain. The shallow end will probably get the twisted willow and gunnera and then lots of stones and rocks from around the garden and from wall demolition to make a sort of beach. The deeper end I shall try and plant up with the weeping willow and then ground cover plants and shrubs to disguise those edges. Need to persuade OH he wants to move rocks.

GWRS, if you do go to Ypres again try to visit Sanctuary Wood Museum where there are some of the original trenches. Walking through them on the duckboards does give some idea of the terrible conditions.
That all sounds really positive Pdoc ... ((big hugs)) for you both. Together you'll work out a way of going along and life will seem easier, bit by bit.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Hello all. I've been sporadically reading and not posting, since returning from Malta and thinking 'I must catch up / read back'... have now accepted that that's never going to happen, as we were still on the October thread when I last checked in!
Hope everyone is OK. I know Chicky's made it to Oz (can't believe that came round so quickly) and that punkdoc is home and bearing up. Hosta's working lots of odd hours, Obelixx has a big hole in her garden and Fairy's been up a hill or two! I'm afraid everything else is a bit of a blur.
Had a lovely couple of days getting jobs done in the house and in the garden. Still got bulbs to plant . College tomorrow though - yay!

Hi everyone. I’m trying to read back and stay awake. I’ve got the washing machine doing it job and come back to bed to finish my sleep. Eyes very heavy, so a bit difficult.

Been lovely having OH home, she is starting to look a bit less stressed and has been doing some jobs for me in the garden, with me supervising.
I am no less breathless, but a bit less panicky and slightly more sanguine about stuff.

Good evening.
Sounds like you both will benefit from some time together Punkdoc.
It's sausage 'n' mash tonight... better crack on as rather ravenous.
