Anyone on here (Yes, of course, there is ) who have made candles, I have been making my own Christmas pressies for some years now, desided candles, bath bombs and steeps this year, thinking of incorporating lavender, lemon balm homegrown, just got kit soy wax, double burner, thermometer, etc, but VERY nervous about all the warnings, terrified am going to burn the place down, is it reasonably easy?
, will give it a go Clarington,I havent got a table in the kitchen, but have got a wooden chopping board, because I know not to spill hot wax on anything, its the devils own job to remove. Then there is the warning about your glass jars exploding all over the shop. I have saved small pretty glass jars to use. Got the soy wax so far, any other wax any better, or prefered? I guess its like anything, have been making jam marmalde chutney for years, and a lot of folk marvel at that, haha.

I've just harvested the last of my tomatoes. Truth be told I'm fed up of tomatoes.

Nanny; I have made candles in the past. It's really not that hard and the warnings.. well you do have to be health and safety mad.
Just use a plastic mat to protect your table.

Love fresh tomatoes, salted and drizzled and served on lightly toasted ciabatta.......
Never yet made a candle and have boxes of them we've not used. Must get them out this winter and actually light them.
Wonky was sent home with a heavy cold ((get well soon Wonky)).

That'll be a fantastic pond Obelixx ... how are you going to resolve the slope factor?
