One shovel full and I would collapse fairy. If it needs doing, it will have to be OH.

Just listening to Steve McQueen, The Prefab Sprout album, don't know if any of you remember them?

    I absolutely love them.

Don't you even think of shovelling snow Punk! Hell if it gets that bad I'll come over and do it!! For cold wet fluffy stuff it doesn't half knacker you out.

Sounds chilly - hope you’re all keeping warm.❄️

Happy Birthday Hosta ......your birthday has well and truly started here, even if you do still have a few more hours to wait where you are.

Hope that hound is keeping you warm Clari. Dare I ask... how's work?

Spent the evening making a mince pie Advent Calendar with younger daughter, for OH who loves mince pies. I think one a day might be a bit much so I'm sure he'll share them (with the kids. I can't stand them).

Only one a day? Oh my now I feel greedy! image  I can graze on them all day.

The dog has tucked himself up in the blanket with me; I'm not sure who is keeping who warm! For a dog that's part husky he certainly likes his warm bed. He would happily be on the hot water bottle too if he could.

As for work; well let's us say my latest boss sent me an email an hour after she knew I had left the office and was on annual leave for a week to ask if she could call me that evening to discuss things. I'm trying very hard to stick to only doing the hours they pay me but I can see my CV being tidied up soon.

  • Clari at least she asked ... I've known worse ... And as yours on leave you should get paid at least double time for any phone call/ work etc.

snuggling down now ... Freezing hard outside ... Sweet dreams all ... Hope you get a cuppa in bed tomorrow morning Hosta image

    Sleep well everyone.

Chicky, I hope you enjoy the Great Ocean Road. It’s certainly worth the drive.

Clari - replying saying, "as you know I am on planned leave for the next X days but am happy to discuss Y when I return to work."  If they don't like that; tell them you're prepared to give them a bit of time at the usual overtime rates.

It is now 2C on a sheltered south facing windowsill so I expect another frost tonight.   It'll be good for those tree and shrub seeds I sowed.  Decided to wear skirt to dance class after a week in jeans and got a very chilly draught round my calves and ankles.   Brrrr.  A barn owl flew across our path just a few hundred yards away from home so I suggested to OH that we put a barn owl nest box in the barn.  Lot of pigeons in there he says.  Are they compatible?   He's a brunette, honest.

Bed time now.   Sweet dreams all and a good sleep.

Clari, it was more a matter of the mince pies not feeling like a treat anymore if he has one every day. Honest!

Sorry to hear that you're thinking of dusting down your CV. Always good to feel you have other options though, I guess. And, as Dove says, at least she asked... though was 'no' an option?

I liked Prefab Sprout, back in the day. But I don't know the album.

Night night all. Enjoy the rest of your day, Pat. And hello to Liri,  if you're out there!

Still snowing here and minus 3, one of the drawbacks of living 250m up on the moors above Sheffield. There are however many advantages.

Now listening to After the Goldrush, by Neil Young.

Ooh! Just seen the weather report. I hope Chicky doesn’t stand too near the edge on the various lookouts on the Great Western Road. Have just seen a very serious media briefing on weather due in Victoria . Never seen one of those before. predictions pretty severe.
