Very frustrating for you Pat. You need the rain we however could manage fine without the snow. It’s far too soon and we have just had a lot of rain so if it freezes now we have horrible deep ice
take care

Coffee being taken on board ... it's bright and dry here with no frost ... I suspect that it's going to get colder through the day ... the ex Dragoon is due here around 12:30 to clean upholstery and carpets ... The front door will be open while he works as his 'hose' is connected to his van ... He doesn't bring equipment into the house which will ensure the parquet is safe I shall wear a warm woolly.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Seems to me you have a lot of holidays GWRS! Enjoy.
Dull grey start here and not a drop of rain registered. I have got one wish tho - an online plant nursery I use has a Black Friday offer on for today only - 30% off most expensive plant. Doesn't apply to bulbs but they're all reduced anyway so I've ordered some more bulbs and 3 asparagus plants. Promesse des Fleurs if you're interested Busy.
Taking Cosmos to the vet at midday. His paw is healing slowly so I need more meds or an alternative treatment. He's not up to full par, poor chap, but that may be because he's not allowed out with his latest clean sock on till he's been seen.
Before that I'm doing some furniture moving and then planting onions and garlic this pm. The new treasures are looking good and the sarcococca has loads of little flower buds so looking forward to some perfume and then cuttings to make more.
Hope you Dragoon does a good job Dove. Hope Joyce and LP and FG and other northerners are not freezing or drowning. I'm thinking of donning some feathers and my turquoise ear-rings and bangle and doing a Native American rain dance!
Enjoy your day everyone. Hugs for those who need them.

Morning all. I use Promesse des Fleurs, Obelixx, but have no room for anything else. Still haven't planted out all the plants I bought this year.
Going out exploring this morning, passing by a village where there is a barber that OH likes. His hair is getting tatty and we are going out to a murder mystery evening and dinner tonight.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Another lovely day yesterday and more to come today.
Wonky, I was thinking of you last night. We were in a "Jamaican" eatery , run by Brits and they had Goat curry on the menu. I opted for jerk chicken.
I'm glad your holiday is going so well Chicky. You've got more energy than we do. We walked to the little market stall to buy some fruit yesterday and walked along the beach at sun down. That's all the excitement I need.
Punkdoc. Sorry about the lack of winter sun for you. I know you love it / need it as much as I do. Hosta Hugs for you both.

Hi Lilyp. I had the same thought about no one being on yet.
We got a whole 2.5 mm rain from those dark clouds yesterday. Drives us crazy. You think you’re going to get heaps and then nothing.
Hot day today.
