    Happy Birthday Hosta image

There were four bullfinches scuffling about in the nettle patch outside my window this afternoon - 2 males and 2 females - very pretty birds image.

Fairy, no, it's not going to be a display sort of thing, just a cupboard. It did used to have a top bit for displaying fancy crockery but OH burned it for firewood one winter when it got particularly chilly. I don't know if I've got 'before' photos and if you only see 'after' you'll probably all think 'meh'. It's not fancy - just much better than it was image

One shovel full and I would collapse fairy. If it needs doing, it will have to be OH.

Just listening to Steve McQueen, The Prefab Sprout album, don't know if any of you remember them?

    I absolutely love them.

I'd lend you my crampons doc - but I might just need them at the weekend if I can get out on a hill image

Quite liked Prefab Sprout but never had any of their albums.

Hope you manage it one day GWRS - although you'll need more than a day  image

Where do you think you'll head to B'man? If they can keep the Glenshee road open, I may head that way.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Not much chance of that if the forecast is right fairy. I'll be staying local this weekend and heading up over the gray mares tale and on over the top to the megger reservoir. Knees are getting stronger so getting onto bigger things.

Glad it's going well B'man. Getting the level of fitness can take a wee while. Knees are a right pain aren't they? Mine were ok until I had about six weeks of not getting out. I'm doing a stint each night on the treadmill to keep everything ticking over in case the weather's rubbish. image

Don't you even think of shovelling snow Punk! Hell if it gets that bad I'll come over and do it!! For cold wet fluffy stuff it doesn't half knacker you out.

Tucked up on bed with the hound as it's getting chilly and with OH out bed was a preferable option to cranking up the heating. Ive left him a hot water bottle by the kettle for when hw gets home from the workshop.

We have snow; plenty of flurries but not much is settling. The roads will be hell in the morning though.

    Garden looks tidy however!!

Glad Wonky's cold weather gear is up to the job. It would be so miserable to be working outside otherwise.

Was just thinking Liri should probably be back by now - seems like ages, must be at least 3 weeks. Hope she's not been stuck!

Hope that hound is keeping you warm Clari. Dare I ask... how's work?

Spent the evening making a mince pie Advent Calendar with younger daughter, for OH who loves mince pies. I think one a day might be a bit much so I'm sure he'll share them (with the kids. I can't stand them).

Raisingirl, I  would have liked to see the cupboard / dresser too. Glad your hard work paid off - very satisfying.

And in case I don't get back on here: Happy Birthday for tomorrow, Hosta. Enjoy yourself.
