Thinking about my mis-spelling, I was 14 years old at the time that we visited the area, with the Young Australia League. We were taken to green Island, Karumba, a sugar mill, etc, etc.
Yesterday was a bit of a nightmare. 12 hour shift with only a 15 minute break in the middle. Home too late to watch blue planet , but caught Howards End.
( sounds like I've just contracted some nasty disease. "Oh I'm afraid you have a nasty case of Howards End")
A bit of last minute packing ( dare I trust Hubby has packed everything ????? ) then heading to Derbyshire to spend some time with our old NDNs and flying from Birmingham in the morning.
We are off to town to make a start on Christmas shopping for grandchildren. Scared the things I want will have gone by the time we come back from Norfolk.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Have a lovely holiday Hosta ... how long is this one for? Just so we don't worry (has he packed the sunscreen )
Discussions have been held ... supper today may well be pan-fried cod fillet with bubble & squeak ... or it may not ... we will call in at W'rose on our way back from B&Q where we hope to find the wherewithal to repair our sitting room door handle ...
And I must pot up my amaryllis 'Papilios' ... that way they should be blooming to brighten January
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
