I always have to make the tea. Sometimes I try to hold on in the hopes he'll get the hint but he just doesn't wake up before my delicate bladder gives in
Hosta - the great unwashed public eh? Don't you just love 'em?
I read back but I've now forgotten most of it. Must be my age now that I'm past 27
Joyce - hope your daughter is ok. What a lot of damage she's got. Glad there's not much to the house -she's had enough on her plate.
Wonder if BL is making progress with all hersand if they let the oil man out eventually! Stupid man. Why do they have that 'thing' about asking for, or taking, directions?
LG - I haven't read the book, but it's very well known in hillwalking circles. I may get round to it one day -when I'm retired maybe
Wet again here - and I did washing to hang out.
Better go and get to work. Catch you all later - have a good day
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
The air is very slightly damp but no visible drops. This morning they arrived at 7:45 and bashed out the rest of the hole and are now putting in a lintel and cementing the edges to strengthen them before the door frame can go in.
All very well but I was up till after midnight sewing the top for the Star Wars outfit - now soaking because I managed to prick my finger and get a spot or two of blood, right on the front fastening so very visible. Gauntlet next then the belt and the flowy tunic thingy.
Definitely gardening this pm.
Hosta - OH doesn't need booze to snore but it's irritating all the same.
Clari - OH is 27 and finally beginning to understand about late nights and early starts. These usually involve dance evenings (sober to manage the footwork) followed by early golf. He then sleeps when he gets home and feels wrecked afterwards.
Joyce - that tree has beautiful bark. I hope daughter can salvage some for her garden but, more importantly, that the clean up goes well.
Time for a 2nd coffee.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Obelixx, I think it's great when workmen start early even though it means an early start for me too.
Daughter said the tree surgeon was excellent. He has cut and stacked logs from the tree for the patio burner and chipped the rest of the tree, putting it into a 1 tonne sack for use as a mulch in the future.
Hmmmm. I thought one of the keys to successful treatment was an optimistic and positive approach from the patient so let's have less of the negativity and more of the "what can I do while having enforced rest?"
Reading for your astronomy studies perhaps? Catching up on all the films you've meant to see but never did? Sowing seeds and taking cuttings wouldn't be too strenuous either. Chin up Pdoc. We all come to an end sooner or later. Best not to get there by crawling into a hole of your own making when there's still so much you can do and people who love and care for you. Think of them.

Hosta, how rude (the second one)
You can only assume he/she is not very content with their life

I was tempted to suggest he went and found a Starbucks.
I just hand them an empty cup , they can sort it out for themselves at the machine.
How about the customer who opened the door on Monday night and said
" Ah, Asda. I forgot you were coming"
Morning all/afties Pat if you're there

Hi all.
Must be ill, no alcohol for 2 weeks.
Thought is maybe Viral Myocarditis, ECHO booked for today.
Good scenario, very gentle existence for 2-3 months, everything gets better.
Bad scenario, increased breathlessness, heart failure.
Sorry, i can only see the negative at the moment. Very weird contemplating your own mortality.
When you don't even know who's in the team
S.Yorkshire/Derbyshire border
Pdoc, chin up and focus on the good scenario.
Try to keep a positive attitude.
