I'm hooked again on here, I should be, and am, halfway to ironing, as in set up board and brought basket to it - but then just peeped at screen and have spent 10 mins or more reading all about the sea and strange dreams - so much more interesting than ironing, or should that be i*****g.
Panicking about my garden a bit, my expert friend is coming on the 23rd and I feel obliged to have it looking good for her, although she is actually coming to advise - frustrating as I can see what needs to be/could be done so easily but just can't get to it, even my poor window boxes look sad.
Also, a nasty woman, well known appaprently for being so, has been spreading nasty comments around about my tea room. The lady that told me said not to worry, everyone knows she is just spiteful, and has been banned from some restaurants, but it is very hard to swallow, when we try so hard to do our best.
However, some french ladies came in this afternoon ( 3 separate groups) and all raved about it, promising to come again too. Focusing on the positive, and now must focus on the i****g.
Good evening all.
B.T.W. not sure if I mentioned it, but I asked the mairie if I could possibly have a bridge built up to my rear entrance and he has only gone and got it built, well certainly a long way along! So pleased!
The little concrete water well is mine, it's going to be a wildlife pond soon, can't wait to get my bunting out over the bridge.

Great news about your bridge DD. Don't worry about your garden. Let your friend see it warts and all. Just do some pots or troughs up near the café windows and terrace where they will show best from indoors as the weather cools.
Ignore the mean lady. Concentrate on the positives and all those good, word of mouth recommendations and remember to enjoy Charlie and those kittens. All 3 will grow far faster than you can imagine and almost without you noticing.
Congrats on coming so far, so fast. Brilliant.

What a helpful Maire you have, DD. Our lovely Maire went and died, cancer. Glad it's all going well. We must come again when things have calmed down. Don't forget I offered you some bits of plants.
I did ironing in front of Bake Off.
