Hope the wardrobe is nearer done now, Fairy. What a pain not being able to use power tools!
I'm with you on attitude to heat. We've booked a week in January in La Palma (a package holiday, looks like a good deal, & will give us an introduction to somewhere we've never been), because the January "high" doesn't usually exceed 21C - and if it does, we'll just go higher to get some cooling breezes...
I'm currently trying to squeeze a quart into a pint pot, so as to take the maximum number of bulbs & gifts in hand luggage to Ireland tomorrow. At least packing for the return journey should be easier.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Will do, Dacha... It's forecast wet while I'm there. No surprises then...
Thanks Fairy! Yes, some of the bulbs will be left here - but I ordered them for me, originally. It's just guilt at the amount I've spent which is turning some of them into presents.

Dacha - there are many times a pair of wellies would be handy on the hills, but sadly - they wouldn't do the job! Numerous days bog trotting off a hill I've reckoned I might be developing webbed feet....
As long as you're not giving them all away Liri
Progress with the 'stension paperwork issues, but hopefully all sorted by end of this week, after speaking to architect for an alteration to plans, and the nice chap who did the inspection earlier this morning. I'll be £250 lighter, but what can you do? The end is in sight, thankfully.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Back from tennis (just one 5 game match again) ... back still complaining so I've taken some Paracetamol ... I don't like this getting older lark ... just a few weeks of inactivity this summer with my broken foot and now the rest of my body seems to ache after the slightest bit of physical work ... it seems like only yesterday that I used to be able to pitch bales ...
Anyhoo, I have given the bird feeders a good soak, scrub and a rinse and now they're in the little greenhouse drying off. They should be ok to refill tomorrow.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I know ... and I rushed it 'cos I thought it was going to rain ... next time I say I'm going to cut the grass will someone please remind me about today!!! It's not as if OH is ever reluctant to do it for me ... it's just that I like doing stuff myself ...

Raining here now. I've started removing the tomatoes in the tunnel. I had to do something destructive after this morning's phone calls.
Admiral decided to automatically re-insure me, even though I'd told them not to and our flippin' useless council sent a letter regarding the council tax on the annexe. They got our first names and second names mixed up and got out postcode wrong.
I've never come across an organisation which is so consistently useless.

Hope you have a lovely trip Liri - better if all the rain goes off though! You could always leave some of those lovely bulbs at home of course...
I'm knackered with the r*ddy wardrobe. Give me two or three Munros any day
Compared to the grafting I've done creating the garden, it's definitely much worse
