Grey here but dry and not too dull.  I have spent my morning being scragged - playful cuddly kitten before dawn followed by Ratsa arriving with coffee to snuggle me and play with kitten and it all got very lively but I managed to persist and finish my book.  Heroic.   Up now and about to sand down a coffee table top so I can use a softening wax with white in it.  I don't do bright orange oak but I do like solid oak furniture.

Hosta - hope you got back to sleep and that the long shifts lead up to a good, relaxing holiday with hubby.

    Clari - protective mats?

Chicky - all time seems to go fast these days.

LP and Joyce - hope it wasn't too wild and that all plants and pots are OK.

    Off to check mine now.

Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

    Afternoon all.

Well it's taken 5 removal company people and two huge vans to move the heavy equipment from the office to our new place. Tomorrow we'll be tidying up and sorting ready for the team to start work in their new clean safe office on Wednesday.

No point trying to kill myself to get everything sorted because you can bet no one will thank me!

The new office is HOT! As in I think they have a poor old dear on warfarin in charge of the thermostat.

Now to enjoy the rest of my afternoon : it's looking very windy here.

    Afternoon all.

I've been down to store and I've only 4 drops later so I don't have to go in until 3.30 .

I've been out and "cut" grass/lift leaves which is always very therapeutic, although it does mean winter is coming fast.

    Devon.

It’s hard to believe that it’s almost 2am here. It’s going to take a while to adjust to the clock change. In bed and closing down.

    Sweet dreams Pat!

I'm trying to avoid the temptation of an afternoon nap.

That's the start of my autumn decorations. For some reason I can't picture and text!

Certainly a strike against the blue wall. I just need to work out how to make some felt conkers and maybe a harvest mouse.

I have made it until 21:25. But the hound has been pestering me since 20:00 because he thought it was bed time! I can't believe (well yes actually I can) I've brought my dog-son up to be such a complete woofter he won't just go to sleep on his own.

The darkening nights are confusing him; I really ought have worked harder on teaching him how to tell the time.

A few more leafs have been stitched for my decorations so I will certainly have colour even if I have no plants in this room.
