Just back from a day in the New Forest with my sisters. We got Dad down the stairs and out for a bit of fresh air. Went to Beaulieu and raised a glass of bubbly to Mum, who would have been 80 this Tuesday. Think she would have approved of our party ? ? ?
Dad also got back up the stairs afterwards .....so much progress is being made
Hello everyone we're back from a lovely lunch out with friends ... we were nearly late as there are major roadworks on the Norwich ring road, but fortunately we'd arranged to meet early for pre lunch drinks, so we were there by the time the table was booked for. We went back to our friends' place for coffee afterwards, and have just arrived home (having come through the city centre to avoid the roadworks ).
Now I'd better find out what's been going on here ..........

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I've just decided it's too long since I saw the grandchildren (& their parents). I'm using the recent delivery here of too many spring-flowering bulbs as an excuse to take a lot of them to Ireland on Thursday (cheap flights) and spend a few days playing with the little girls... ...daughter seems happy with the idea, and OH is supportive. Wish he could come too, but he has choirs to conduct.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Ahh Lirodendrun. Know how you feel, I brought an agapanthus to little one to grow she seems chuffed
hosta, ?
Arrived here early afternoon, it's a different climate! Warm and sunny, but oh my is it busy☹️
All food warmly received except maybe the chocolate cake which certainly gave a sugar kick, possibly kicking in the wrong direction. I don't remember being aware of such things with my two
chicky so glad to hear dad improving at such a pace.
must get some sleep. My shift begins at 7. Early nowadays for me!

Just popping in, even though I realise you’ll all be in bed b now.
We actually had some rain last night. A whole 2 mm in the gauge. Now I’ve hung a load of washing out and the second one in the machine, except in the time between I took the first load out, the clouds have arrived from nowhere and are very dark grey and bringing winds which nearly pulled my arms out of their sockets, with the clothes line whizzing around.
yesterday was a bit nostalgic.......what with Dove's brawn and Hosta's Diddies........both words I had not heard since childhood in Dublin .......my dad used to love brawn ........and haslet ......or was it hazlet?

Home at last . Another 10 1/2 hour marathon, but at least it was at a much more gentle pace than last week.

I was delivering to a lovely older gay couple this morning . They live in a village called "Bush" I kid you not.
"Where are you going next? they asked.
" I'm moving on from Bush and I'm heading for Diddies. Oh the irony"
I know it's juvenile but it made me titter.
