Great to hear from you DD and wonderful to see the pictures and hear how well its all?l going! Adorable kittens!
Fairy, really beautiful bunch of flowers! But I have to agree with Dove, Brawn his yummy!!!! I used to work in a country butchers in Framlingham, they made the best! We also call it poor mans pate.
Dove there is a butchers in Diss that still makes it, at the top of the market place near the church!
Friends over for a small gathering last night, may have had a few beers, waiting for the fog in my head to clear as it looks like a lovely day outside.
I have a next week off work for a rest for my hands so not in any rush to get things done this weekend, I hope everyone has a lovely Sunday ahead of them
HI there. Lovely kittens DD. No need to banish them downstairs. Just leave them access to the basement and they'll deal with the unwanted visitors for fun.
Lovely flowers FG. Been picking my own today as I need some for the dining table. .
Dove - hose look good. Never made a raised pie in my life and don't like pork pies but might have a go with another filling.
Interesting evening last night. The "entertainment" was a chap with recorded backing music and a micro who got the audience doing karaoke. Painful. Met some lovely people tho, when I didn't have my ears covered and could chat.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Dove.......ugg .....pork cheese , I nearly lost my breakfast
Fairy ......I'm with you on that .....lovely flowers.....
So nice to be finally back at the dacha ....glorious 12 degrees and a sunny blue sky.....
We have not been here for a while so we were very impressed to see these hardy beauties after the horrendous weather over the past few weeks with temps dropping to close to zero overnight .....now the big pre-winter clean up begins....
You made me smile Dove. My mum used to call it “lippy“, as well. Haven’t heard that since she passed on. Your baking ALWAYS looks special. Lucky I don’t live nearby, my weight would be out of control.
I love the cup and saucer vine flowers Fairy. I’ve a friend who did a very good painting of them some years ago. I wonder if I’ve still got a copy somewhere. Trouble is sorting through those particular cupboards.
I used to make my own brawn, as well as liver wurst, when I lived in Darwin. My Danish ex-MIL taught me. I’ve been thinking about it lately because Aldi had lots of Octoberfest goodies in, so we were tempted to get a few things. Rather good they were, too.
Hi to Wonky, hope your wrists get a rest this week.
Our son only stayed two nights, but it’s good to catch up.
Did a tidy/weed/cull in the pink&purple border as orange Crocosmia had popped up at the front this year! Do tolerate a few dotted around garden but can't let them spread too much. Also spread last year's leaf mulch to make way for this year's collection (mainly Ash Tree leaves). It was still very 'mulchy' rather than leaf-mould but serves a purpose. I noticed that Monty runs the mower over the leaves to help decomposition - but bit labour-intensive for me and my bad back.
