Clari, like your idea of the hidden passportimage

    Enjoy your time off.

Relatives coming tomorrow for two nights so housework and some cooking done.

  • Just had a phone call from Wonky ... she's had the steroid injection in her right wrist and is off work for the rest of the week ... and not allowed to do so much as to scratch her nose with that hand.  I'm going over there on Friday to do some bits and bobs and take her shopping.   She says Hi to everyone image

It wasn't an intentional hiding but certainly worth baring in mind for future reference. I'm glad he found it - I wasn't looking forward to a week off spent at passport offices.

The new floor for the lounge has arrived: it is now aclimatising before it can be laid.

My holiday is going well; my boss has emailed, called, and text'd me several times... they can't cope without me it seems.

His lordship is out tonight so I'm taking time now to rest. I'm starting to get a few good days over the bad but fatigue is a real issue.

Send our love! I hope she does as she's told and it helps.

Note any time spent on work and tell them you'll be adding it to your leave or claiming it as TOIL at a later date.  You're supposed to be GETTING SOME REST!!! image

Dove; this week off only just uses up my toil due to me - I've already told the boss I will be balancing out my additional over time with long tea breaks.

Evening all - been slightly awol today.

Clari - I think you need to put your foot down - with work definitely. What's that saying about the willing horse getting all the work....image

You're on holiday. Don't be a martyr - do 'holiday' stuff  image

Hope Wonks is ok Dove. Vey runpleasant issue.

Miserable day here - still single figures when I went to work, single figures when I left at half four. There was some sun until early afternoon, and it got to about 14,but it still wasn't very warm due to the wind. Then the rain started. I felt no guilt putting the heating on for a little while!

    Off to the supernarche....image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • Then make sure he knows that TOIL means just that ... Time Off Work !!!

Not time spent sitting on the phone/pc dealing with stuff for work image  That way leads to being off work with illness

Tell him you'll send Dove round image

Hi gang.    Got to Namur late yesterday evening after a fabulous stop over at Le Mont-St-Michel.  Arrived early evening in dull clouds but had time for a quick visit to explore the towny bits inside the walls before retreating to the hotel and dinner with magnificent views of the Mount.   Up bright and early the next day as it was sunny and we wanted pics as well as a visit to the abbey before the hordes.  It is beautiful - ingenious use of local stone to build a mostly Roman style church and abbey on the rock with later Gothic outbursts.   http://s211.photobucket.com/user/Obelixx_be/library/1709%20Mont-St-Michel?sort=2&page=1   The town houses inside the sea walls are attractive too and very quirky.

Garden group was fun today.   New Russian member so a very interesting lunch.  Got back to Possum's in Namur to run errands and the heavens opened.   Serious dump.  Wish we could have some like that at home!    More tomorrow before I leave on Thursday - have to escape the Fêtes de Wallonie which will be very noisy into the small hours for several days.

Wonky - big hugs.  Hope the steroids work.

Clari - turn off the phone!!   No business dealing with work issues when you are either off sick or off on hols.  That's for Chief Execs on fabulous salaries and bonus packages - at best.

Have read back but too much to mention so will just wish you all a good night and a good sleep.
