    Hi Dachalover.

He has contacted me, although we have not spoken.

One of my concerns, as you say, and being a cynical old git, was, what does he want then?

At the moment, I am veering towards the, I haven't missed him for the last 60 years, why start now?

How can you lie there and think of England

Just so long as he doesn't  want a kidney, or an inheritance.

  • Just popping in to say I agree with what has been said ... but maybe he just wants some questions to be answered; to know more about the father who left him ... But do look after yourself ((hugs)).

  • Hello all, hugs Clari, I hope your feeling more yourself in no time! Until then indulge in doing as little as possible! X

Hello Dove, hope your relaxing!Enjoy your holiday! X

Pdoc, good to see you are all right, we were all wondering what escapades you had got involved in! Its possible that your half brother just wants to know more about his father, I'm assuming as you dad had another family, he may have not had the benefit or blessing of having a male role model in his life. Or there is the possibility of perhaps he needs some family medical information. Or just trying to fill in blanks, I understand your caution, but it may not be negative, best wishes for whatever you decide will make you comfortable with it all.

Exhausting day! Weeding and mulching every tree on the park!.....trust me that's a lot! Haven't had a chance to wash my hands yet! image I have a mottled appearance!

Hope everyone is well and has a lovely evening!

    Is everyone very busy?

This morning I had no energy.

This afternoon I've walked all around the big paddock and mended the electric fence in a couple of places, taken the string of the big bales of hay in the shelter and filled up the 6 dustbins of water. The horses will go in there tomorrow and stay there while we are away.

I've weeded the oval bed, filled a barrow and dead headed a load of flowers in pots.

The rest of the hot pork pie with a sausage each and spinach, courgettes and baked tomatoes from the garden tonight.

Evening everyone. Sorry I've been away from Forkers for a while but I've been looking in from time to time to keep an eye on all of you.

You may have gathered that we're on our jollies image in St Ives.

Met Mr & Mrs Dove on Sunday and had a good catch up. Since then we've seen them in the street / walking past about half a dozen times. St Ives may be very busy - but big it ain't.image

Glorious afternoon today. Visited the Barbara Hepworth garden and museum which I found strangely moving. Probably because of an excellent guided tour explaining the effect of life events on her work. Excellent late lunch overlooking the harbour. Good day to be aliveimage

Sorry to hear you're poorly Clari. Hope you feel better soonimage

    Best wishes to everyone else.

Need to get on with drinking this G&T now - tough job but someone has to do itimage

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
