How kind of them to think of you Hosta!

I too dozed off whilst being scanned for neck injuries.  Had been in intolerable pain for a few weeks so they gave me a relaxant and I dropped off to the soothing rhythm of the scanning noises.

Long day today and sore feet now cos I wore newish shoes which I thought I'd broken in.   Anyway, Harry needs a full new set of breaks.  reckon the noise is the pads rubbing.  Even when not braking?  yes.  We'll see.   Market raid done - well brought up Barnsley chops, fat clams for spaghettit vongole tonight and some raw milk cheeses for OH.   Lunch at one of our favourite fishy restaurants then shopping for cushion pads and fabric, SM raid and freezer shop raid.

Home to find chaps have been busy and the windows are filthy.  They've dug a channel in the concrete terrace for leccy and water, laid some concrete and waterproof membrane and then plumber came along later and drilled through the "cave" wall and laid water pipes.   Slow to start but motoring now.

Hope you've all had a good day and that missing bits turn up, broken parts get fixed, sleeps are had.  Can you not set a fire without an incinerator Liri?  Joyce - I have endless hours of painting to get through and curtains to make - good for rainy days if we ever get any and yes, it will be lovely to get out and garden.

Why did spellchecker intervene?  Harry's brakes are broken!

Fingers crossed you never need one then NB.

Nannyb, I’m the same. I start to panic just thinking about it.

Hubby left an hour ago to do another stint at the fire. I, of course, have been sleeping. Well 7 am is too early for me.image I was woken by doors rattling. Yes, you guessed it, after yesterday’s lovely wind free day, today the tree tops are thrashing around out there. Typical.

it feels as though it’s going to be a hot day. The window pane on the east side is hot to touch.

    Morningimage

Don't think I could cope with your climate Pat - you only seem to get a week of comfortable weather between the extremes of hot and frosts ?❄️?❄️?

Chicklet is in Queensland - that photo is of somewhere in the Whitsunday islands.  The Australuan Uni's get a two week half term break, so she is taking the opportunity to explore.  Back to lectures, labs and essays next week ???

Went to visit Dad last night - gets better each time I see him.  Filthy journey home though - lashing rain, standing water and idiots driving too fast (in my opinionimage) made it very unpleasant image

Out tonight with friends from my Uni days ...... that makes them very old friends ......even if, like me, they are only 27image
