I haven't started clearing leaves yet - it's a joy to come... but yes, LilyP, I love the smell too. And the crunch when walking through them when they're dry.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Im into town this morning for my 2 monthly Dr visit at 9.30, then back into town for a 3 pm opening of our little art gallery Spring Exhibition. So, no pruning today.
Dad visiting done last night - the nursing home he is in is lovely, and the staff all friendly and attentive, so thats good. Think he'll be there a couple of weeks before he is ready to go home. He's pretty uncomfortable, but he's got a lot of healing to do . He's much better once he gets talking and thinking about something else.
Discovery of the old path sounds exciting Liri .....do you know much about the history of the place?
Very frustrated at work: when you're told as a priority to do something but then they don't assist? I do not appreciate the radio silence. It really wouldn't take much for me to throw an almighty spanner in their system.
Still; nearly the weekend and we're having the parents dog come to stay for the week so I will at least have something different to distract me.
Has anyone else noticed autumn was less a gradual decline or summer more someone hitting a big switch?

Evening Liri
Ah , Liro, thank goodness! I was beginning to feel quite worried!
good for you being on the committee. I always found working with volunteers needed great tact! One has to be so nice!!!
