I shall have another coffee and then think about sorting myself out and getting ready to leave ... anything I need to bring for you other than woolly knitted hat and waxed jacket?
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Dove, WW - You two know about telephones, do you? Glad you're seeing some improvement WW.
Clari - you can't take Hosta to your vets. He'd come home with a cone of shame on and that's going to make a mess of his hubby's paintwork - wouldn't do at all
Morning everyone. Cold and showery again here

Gardening on the edge of Exmoor, in Devon
“It's still magic even if you know how it's done.”
Well that husband of his is so talented!! Clari!!!
Morning all.
Bright sunshine here so far but it won't last of course. We haven't had a rain free day for nearly two months!!! I've stopped stressing about mowing and started planning my pressure hose route. Of course I wait till the day after the window cleaner has been. Dopey!
3am before I fell asleep last night. That's what I get for having a good night on Wednesday.
Thanks for all the kind wishes and advice. You're all just too kind.
It's chucking it down again. PP, I too have given up looking at the 10 day weather forecast for a day which looks good for cutting the grass. I reckon we'll need about 5 totally rain free days before I could even consider taking the mower onto our grass. It's sodden with standing water in places.
I'm going to head into the tunnel with my stash of bulbs and get planting.
Dove did I imagine you say you're heading this way next May?
Love to WW , poorly peeps, and the simply "worn ragged" out there.
The sun is shining and I don't have to go to the rental house until this afternoon, so can get into the garden and pick (overgrown) runner beans & autumn raspberries. It's not even raining either (so far...)
LilyP, sorry about your snuffles. Planes are the worst places in the world for picking up germs from all that recycled air. But - looking on the bright side - at least you didn't succumb to a lurgy following the flight out, to spoil the holiday.
Wonky, that's a seriously good looking compost bin. Hope you and Dove have a great day today - so glad you're seeing an improvement in your hands.
Right. Garden calls. Have a good Friday, folks.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
