Do you mean the weather Hosta? Cool and cloudy in both places. Left France 17°, arrived at Stanstead 19°. Here it's flat, Dordogne is hilly. Different architecture. More people around here, but they are friendlier.
Will have to see if I can find a pic of William's trousers now.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
It's inland Hosta so hotter summers and colder winters - in a normal year. My area is lower and near the coast so more temperate but warmer than UK in summer and very few frosts, if any, in winter.. 17C at 9:30 and cool and grey but dry. People here are friendly, so far.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

On a lighter note: did anyone notice William's trousers when the took George to school?

I think the floods have been pretty exceptional this year too.
Some , of course, are still denying our Climate is changing.
What sort of work does the painter in residence do GWRS?

Morning all.
GW you're so cultured! You're always doing interesting things. Makes me want to come and check out the Imps. (Hope I've got that right).
Who'd want to be rescued from that castle Obe; handsome Prince or no?
HF yes I did...but only because there were thighs in them....
I was more interested in how George got his black eye!
Enjoy your Friday.

I had imagined Dordogne would have been warmer.
My geography is rubbish.

I've given in and switched the underfloor heating back on.
It's winter now.
Hi all.
Weather is pants again.
I have spent time on the British Virgin Islands, they were truly beautiful, no airport, so you could only arrive by boat.
I have been looking for somewhere to meet, and ironically the halfway point between us, is where I grew up.
When you don't even know who's in the team
S.Yorkshire/Derbyshire border
"the halfway point......is where I grew up"
Seems as good a place as any then Pdoc. Familiar surroundings in which to meet a stranger.
Hosta, my BH has the underfloor heating on all year round
........Dove will know what I mean
punkdoc......agree with Joyce......familiar surroundings and all that , remember the old adage ...two ears one mouth.......best of luck mate
