Well we definitely had some rain last night . Sun's just come out now though so might get the washing dry, even if it is too wet underfoot to do much useful outside.
Happy Friday everyone

Oh I thought you were speaking in Norfolk, Dove. I wasn't sure if eaving meant they threw them up after eating or if they loved them and ate them all though - but was too embarrassed by my ignorance to ask

Good morning. We have concrete. It arrived at 8:30 with OH and Bonzo on parade but not me. OH has had to smooth a paw mark so dogs confined to barracks for now.
More messing with chairs today and, maybe, a trip to buy some liner fabric to staple the cushion pads to the new bases I had cut after deciding not to resurrect the woven straw thingies. Much too dusty and an open invitation for sharpening feline claws.
I take it your 9 drops are not all next door to each other Hosta. Good luck.
Hope BH got the veil eye sorted DL. Don't want things like that messing with her head or MIL's.
Now to read back a bit more before getting on with jobs.

Misprints on here are always interesting. I wasn't sure to start with if "eaving" meant "leaving" or "eating"...
Glad OH hasn't got to go out again to that fire, Pat. He deserves a proper rest now!
It's a bit of a contrast with yesterday, out there. The recycling collectors came at 6.30am, since when the food recycling bin (left open, of course) has acquired half an inch of rainwater. Inside jobs beckon, including clearing part of the loft so the electrician can get access to the light switch, currently situated next to the old hatch opening, and move it next to the new ladder. (The old opening was one of those tiny squeezy ones, not to be attempted after Christmas dinner...)
When emptying the water out of the recycling bin & turning it upside down, I noticed that the garden spider resident on my pot of mint by the front door, was nowhere to be seen. Do they shelter from the rain? He (she?) has built a lovely web so I'm careful not to disturb it. Admiring the spider the other day, I was fascinated to see its reaction to next door's dog - a little yappy thing which barks at anything which moves. The dog saw me and barked. At each bark, the spider raised its front legs in the air, then put them down again. Apparently (thanks, Internet!) they can "hear" via the hairs on their legs.
Can you spot him in yesterday's photo?

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Morning all.
I hope the reason Hosta hasn't posted since is because he went to sleep.
Have potted up 200 plug plants, a bit over half way. Shall do the rest today. Sunny, but rain forecast for tomorrow.

Morning all, again.
I got to sleep around 3am.
Just dropped Hubby off in the shop and popped into Waitrose to see my route for this afternoon.
I've got 9 drops this afternoon. eek
Not much chance of being back home for dinner before 9pm. That won't go down well.

How often do you go up the loft straight after Xmas dinner?
Found her ... isn't she beautiful

Yes, but she'd have Possum screaming for her mum or running for the hills.
