    Evening all!
The BBQ today went well, I had time to enjoy it as there were fewer people than usual, 26. When we had over 50 I didn't have time to talk to anyone. And I won a pretty pink handbag in the raffle! We had live music, every year a lovely chap comes and sings country type music for free as it's for charity. Food went down very well and some people brought some lovely desserts. The sun came out, but it wasn't too hot, just nice.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

  • Yes, glad it went so well, BL.  Hope you raised a lot of money for the charity too.  image

The sun came out for our walk in the park (not as much of a stroll as that sounds!) and we had quite a few interested members of the public, exploring little-known paths through the steep woodland, and being introduced to the historical sites which will be made more accessible in a few months.  We gained three more volunteers, which will be very useful.

This afternoon I was back at the rental house, removing spots from the living room carpet and sticky fixers from the walls... now having a bit of a rest, cos we have our all-day rehearsal in York tomorrow.  Bed soon, I think...  image

I just know I'm going to miss one of you, but here goes.

loved the kookaburra film, thanks OBS

BusyL, glad your BBQ went well.

Dacha, the thought of a swim in a cold lake sounds horrible to me, but glad you enjoy it.

Liri I'm glad your choir is still going strong.

There! , I knew I'd run dry before long.

Im lying in bed while the washing machine does all the hard work for me!   No frost this morning for a change. Wished Hubby a Happy Fathers Day (without funny card), re-lit the fire which had burned out overnight.

Hope you all have a good sleep.

  • Morning Pat....shame about the funny card....you'll find it eventually.....I keep finding presents I was meant to give yonks ago .....I found a Harrod's Christmas mug with a 2009 message ......last yearimage

Oops, Dacha. I suspect I will be having a similar experience.

We are having a horrendous windy day here today, and Hubby has been told to get his fire fighting clothes on ready for call out image. I often wonder what I should do if he is out fire fighting and I'm here alone and another fire starts near here. ..... I'm told not to worry, but it's easier aid than done.

The wind was so strong that I only had thevwashing on the line for about an hour and it was dry enough to bring back in. I'm told they were predicting gale force winds for. Elboirne, so I get it went a bit further north and shared itself with us.
