Oh gosh Pat; people really are dim sometimes aren't they. Sorry that your first warm day is marked quite as... dramatically.
It's looking lovely and sunny here; we get free electricity on a Saturday (it was an early deal when smart meters were introduced) so the washing machine, dehydrator, bread maker will shortly be on the go.
If I'm lucky I might get some time to potter around the garden.
no word from his team yet, so don’t know situation.
Im not sure what to organise for dinner yet, its after 5.30, so I need to get sort out soon. I do have last night’s leftovers. The trouble he could return at any time ie. 7pm or midnight.
I hope Pat's hubby arrives back, safe and sound, not too tired, in time for dinner. Must be worrying.
I thought I had a quiet gardening week next week, apart from a meeting on Tuesday morning. Now I have a Mammography on Monday, a flu jab to arrange and my daughter has rung for help for Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday looking after my 3 grandsons. She is a teacher so her hours usually fit in but she has important meetings next week.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
We think we have found someone to house-sit for us when we go away in November - going to call them for a chat in a bit. Then we are heading up to London for another "hidden" walk ......Borough Market area. And tomorrow, I will garden
Hope Mr Pat is home safe very soon. Lizzie - looks like the garden might have to wait til next week after all.
Morning all/afties Pat. Aren't people stupid? Hope hubby is ok. What a damn fine job he and his colleagues do. The skinks are fab
Managed to sleep in Joyce.... The way the sky looks here, I'm not hopeful it would have been great anwyay. It was certainly wall to wall fog forecast for hills, and the webcams all look pretty dire, so I'm telling myself I'd have seen nowt, just to appease my guilt
Have a good day chicky
BL - do you ever get a chance to just sit and do...nothing...?
Hope all goes well on Monday. Unpleasant those things, aren't they?
It's been very chilly overnight - lots of condensation on the windows. Washing's on though - hope it warms up enough to dry it. I'd better fill the bird feeders, as they seem to be getting very hungry out there. A woman's work and all that...
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Morning all. My blackbirds cleared my Rowans weeks ago and now the tallest one is flowering again.
Did I miss something?
Is it next year?
Where are my Christmas and birthday presents?!?!?!
Enjoy your Saturday.

Plant; my strawberries are on their third season. It's tasty but... does feel a little odd.
Lovely sunny morning here.
Hope Fairy is managing a hill walk today.
Pat, why are some people such idiots lighting fires when they are aware of the dangers? Hope you and OH are now relaxing.
It's all a bit bonkers Clari but very good news about the seconds and thirds for strawberries.
Thanks for good wishes everyone. It does help.
