Thank goodness its Friday! And the right bit of it too! Cr***y week at work! Body feels broken, spirits shattered long ago! Hubby gave me a beer and I spilled it! Not deterred went to shop for more! Trying to feel human. Thought the only thing to help me feel sane was you lot! read back but couldn't retain anything as head is a buzz!
I'd forgotten to congratulate Chicky and her sisters on their walk, sorry Chicky, amazingly well done!
Clari, how are you feeling, any better? Sounded though you were really going through it! Hoping you on the mend buddy!
Hosta! Well done on the successful sleeping! Don't over do it and use up all your quota in one hit!
Dove, postcard looks lovely! Thank you! Funny Topbird spotting you quite often! Hope your having a wonderful time! X
BusyL, welcome back! Hope your weather isn't as soggy as ours!
Hello Joyce, hope you are well, thank you for asking, my hands are still bad but Ithink the rest of the body is distracting me from it!
Hello, Lilyp, Fairy, Yvie, LG, Pat, Raisingirl, Pdoc, DL, and all! Sorry I've been so intermittent with my posts, but thank you all for being a little bit of me time in a world that doesn't seem to allow such a thing! X
Sorry you've had a bad week Wonky. Hope the weekend improves matters.
Busy - glad you, and others, have enjoyed he chateaux pics. Good that you're getting out and exploring. Thinking about what you said earlier about people being friendly and realised that the only people who have never said hello are the English couple round the corner. Funny. They have a dog too.
Hosta - you'll be awake all weekend now! Good to have friends around on hols tho.
Must go and see to our dinner. Possum's last one here till Xmas as we're taking her out tomorrow night before driving her back to Namur on Sunday, via a night in Mont-St-Michel.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.
"The price good men (and women) pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men (and women)."
Hosta Hugs for you Wonky. I hope " lovely Hubby"'s family are all safe.
Is Dove home now? I hope the drive wasn't too wet.
A Salvia Sensation Pink I got free from work ( way past its best ) turns out to be 3 separate plants in one larger pot. 3 plants for free and not 1. Hurrah. Thanks Boss.
Hope you get a quiet weekend Wonks. Take a deep breath....
I'll echo Hosta's post and say hope all is well with hubby's family. What a dreadful event.
I've just finished watching something, and I think it may be the most stunning, moving and uplifting thing I've ever seen. Please - if you do nothing else this weekend - watch Mountain:Life at the Extreme - about The Himalayas. (It was BBC2 Wed night, repeated last night)
It has everything...and more. The camera work is unbelievable, and much of it will leave you open mouthed. I promise
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Joyce - no spoilers, but what those men did with that 'ground rock'.....breathtaking....
Hope to get up to a Corbett that I haven't returned to since my first attempt early last year, when I didn't feel well part way up. Weather looks ok -ish so will take a look in the morning

Sorry for my absence - been covered in paint for a few days... couldn't work out why I thought I could still smell bathroom paint when we got home this evening. When I looked in the mirror I realised I had some on my nose.
Lovely pics, Obelixx. Very romantic - and a beautiful formal garden.
Wonky - sorry you've had a tough week. Hope you get a restful weekend, with good news of OH's relatives. As others have said, we're so lucky to live in a place where (usually) the worst we have to complain about is incessant drizzle.
Hope you get that Corbett conquered, Fairy!
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Everyone sleeping???
Morning all and afternoon Pat.
Morning Joyce - had a poor night so I slept in....
Hope that hill doesn't turn out to be another one that takes three attempts to get it!
Afties Pat - if you're around.
Chilly here. I fed the birds about half an hour ago - still single figures. At least the rain's stopped. I put the heating on. More of these
