Hi T'bird - good to 'see' you   image

Slightly envious of your trip to the Hepworth garden. I like Ben Nicholson's sculptures too. Glad you're having a lovely time   image

I think you'll enjoy the Grand Tours prog when you get back too.

Eventually cleared up here and warmed up a bit thankfully. Got a little more work done round the pond - doing some gravel and trimming excess liner etc.  Nicest thing today was the appearance of a male chaffinch - first one I've seen in this garden, and I've been here over four years. The garden round the corner was 'chaffinch city' - couldn't move for 'em - so it was lovely to see one. Hopefully we'll get more image

Did a roast dinner in between shovelling and trimming. Enjoyed that image

You've had a busy day GWRS. Ready for Bake Off too. I didn't like Dr Foster - I felt the character was too unbelievable. Might take a look though, depending on how weary I am.

Is the dirt well ingrained now Wonks? I feel I need to paint my nails every night to disguise mine...image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

    Hi Fairy

If we can ever get you 'darn sarf' you would love the Hepworth garden. Stunningly beautiful work.

Really looking forward to watching Grand Tours when we get home - the synopsis sounded very much to our tastes and interests. OH will enjoy the wild camping bits - has all the right kit to do it but he seems to rather enjoy his creature comforts of a comfy bed and central heating these daysimage

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

Hello Topbird, glad you are enjoying your holiday. Have missed you here. I went to Barbara Hepworth's garden years and years ago when I was 20 with a group of medical students, one of which was my boyfriend at the time. He was very keen on art. I wonder how it has changed. When I went to Cornwall again it was near Fowey on the other side, with my OH a few years ago.

    Enjoyed Bake Off again.

Yorkshire Sculpture Park is well worth a visit.

How can you lie there and think of England
When you don't even know who's in the team

    Evening all.

    Can't sleep again.image

We plan a visit to St Ives, but it's  finding the balance between not being in the middle of winter and not being heaving with tourists which is stopping us. I love Barbra Hepworth's work.

    Morning image

Great to see you Tbird - hope you enjoy the rest of your holibobs ☀️

My Dad now has a date for his heart op (valve replacement) - next Monday.  Not much time for him to fret about it.  Last night was a flurry of phone-calls trying to work out who can visit when.  If it is as sucessful as they hope it should give him some quality of life back - he's been struggling with breathlessness for the last while.  Would be great if he could get back to sailing and tramping through the forest watching birds ??????

Life is a mixture of excitement (Australia trip being gradually planned and booked), worry (see above), and image (littlest Chicklet heads off in 11 more sleeps image).  Never a dull moment image.  Need to get out in my garden for a bit of respite image
