Morning all - thanks for the weather update Pat. Sadly, Adelaide's midwinter is looking about the same as our midsummer at the moment . But at least the torrential rain seems to have eased.
LilyP - plans are afoot for a trip to Australia this autumn . But we have to wait for the A-level results to determine littlest Chicklet's future before we can really plan anything ....life is a bit logistically complicated at the moment
Out for dinner with friends last night - good time, but could do with an extra hour in bed this morning
The heavy rain woke me at 5 am clattering on the windows. I managed to get back to sleep, but there's certainly been plenty of it. At least it's dry now - for the moment anwyay.
We aren't so posh re the dandelions - they're called 'pee the bed' here
Good job Obelixx - perhaps that was his cunning plan all along....
Complicated indeed chicky. It'll all be worth it eventually
Thursday - so nearly the weekend - hurrah. Got a week off soon and have booked a weekend away up north as the girls are going away themselves for youngest's birthday.
Better get ready - have a good day everyone.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Good morning there was heavy rain last night but it seems ok at the moment. I went out in the evening and cut all the roses ready to open as they get ruined by the rain.
Scottish exam results come out today Chicky, how long do you have to wait?
now the troops are home I am off to do a big shop today of all "our" foods. We have good friends coming for the weekend. They have been on grannie duties too so we need grown up conversation!!
Have a good day?

Our friends are off their biker rally later this morning. They're staying with their lovely lesbian friends and NOT camping on site. Very wise, it'll be very , very soggy down there.
Hello Fairy, LillyP and Chicky and the rest as they arrive
Hope Hosta's had a good night after an evening out
Some deadheading to be done today, and raspberries and beans to pick ... looks like there'll be some beans to go into the freezer ... but it's wet underfoot at the moment so I won't go out just yet ... another coffee to be drunk ...
The weather isn't too bad here ... the sky is clouding over a bit, but there's still sunshine ... temp last night only down to 16C which seems quite good compared to Pat at least
Tell me if I get boring, but I'm getting very excited about going on holiday at the end of the month

Hi everyone. I have a feeling that we might get snow tonight. It's really cold, and I can't see down the valley For a dense whitish cloud.
Have a good day everyone.
