Possum has had us watching Hidden Figures - a fascinating insight to how NASA did calculations before IBM arrived with its computers - with interesting characters, social history (civil rights) and good acting. Then The Dressmaker which was glorious on several fronts - well cast and acted, hilarious and sad. I have ordered The Sting and Fried Green Tomatoes for her to watch.
Listening to a song on the radio the other day she asked "Who's Elizabeth Taylor?" so clearly needs some educating.
No idea what we'll watch tonight tho.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Son (lives in York) had to produce his passport in Oban recently. He found that a photocopy, endorsed by a solicitor local to him in York, was acceptable.
Re steam mops: I borrowed one when our daughter and her family moved into their horribly grubby rented house on arrival in Ireland (with 8-month, crawling baby). It made short work of the sticky patches on the kitchen floor, and enabled the family to use the downstairs loo (which was probably the most unpleasant thing I've ever had to deal with... )
We haven't got one here though. Not sure why not... I think perhaps it's because I was brought up not to replace anything which worked, hence I'm still using my 20-year-old squeezy mop.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
"Listening to a song on the radio the other day she asked "Who's Elizabeth Taylor?" so clearly needs some educating."
The radio was playing at work 2 weeks ago ( before we opened at 10) and one of my colleagues ( 18 years old ) was singing along. I confessed to not knowing who it was .
"Ariana Grande" I said I'd only heard of her because of " Manchester"
A wee while later Madonna's Papa don't Preach came on and I said " this is more my era"
oooh I like the idea of sausage and egg pie Dove. I've just pulled some sausage meat out of the freezer (sorting out what has been lingering in there since Christmas) so I'll have a look for recipes. I've been looking at pork pie recipes as I need to get used to gluten free pastry.
RE steam mops; due to neither the dog or his lordship understanding the concept of WIPING YOUR FEET I use a broom most days (I can't handle our almighty vacuum cleaner) and steam mop twice a week (if I'm on top of things when the weather is bad).
But once a month I scrub the bare floors with a wooden brush and chemicals to give the steam mop a bit of help.
(I'm really both as domesticated as that all sounds).
