Apparently hotels used to love having bands to stay because they could effectively get a free room/suite refurbishment on the insurance claims.   Never understood the behaviour tho.

Those sheep look like Rasta would if we let her coat grow.  She's just had to have a bath after rolling in something unspeakable.  OH is taken them for a walk along the beach while Possum practises her surfing so she'll no doubt need another bath or at least a good shower.

Hosta - list the damages and losses and withhold all the deposit pending return of keys and then keep it anyway.

DL - dunno if they're edible.   More gourds on here and some very strange "sharing" tomatoes - grow in segments like a mandarine - http://s211.photobucket.com/user/Obelixx_be/library/170804%20Potager%20Extraordinaire?sort=2&page=1

I'm off to sow and sew.   No grass to cut till we have enough  rain to make it grow again.   Anyone know rain dances?  tried cycling, going out without a jacket or umbrella, doing a wash, planning a BBQ......

Thunder here in South Wales on and off all afternoon. Found this tracker map (zoom in):

Just high cloudy bits here, coming in from the Bay of Biscay to the south west.  No wet stuff.   We seem to be under the jet stream and neither wet nor hot.   I shall try another washload tomorrow.

Possum is manfully stoning a large colanderful of tiny plums which we assume are Mirabelle.   Going to make her some jam to take back to the apartment to keep her going till Xmas.  Some will also become cobbler for dinner tonight.

Himself is walking the dogs at the beach on his own and I am doing battle with a new dress pattern.  Fiddly twisted straps but should be good when done.

I wish I was talented enough to sew a button much less a dress OB!

I find myself arguing with the dog about his being picky with his meals. Apparently the tact I'm taking is not unlike how a friend (visiting today for car stuff) deals with his young son...

... doesn't work for him either!

Din dins first everyone din dins first! THEN you can have a yummy treat!

Clari, I'm not sure that Reggie really understands that principleimage

Apart from about six spots of rain, it has been a super day here.

A case of needs must if I want a dress or top or trousers or jacket that fit my hour glass form Clari.  Even jeans need elastic thru the back waist.

Bonzo just hoovers food up altho he's slowed down since we bought the demon feeding bowl which forces him to ferret.  Rasta recently went off their usual food so we buy her a different brand of biccies and then they get a toothy chew every morning and a Jumbone as an occasional treat and a marrow bone to suck and chew if we leave them behind when we go out for a day.   Easy really.   Both in good health with very good teeth and correct weights - Rasta has lost a couple of kilos since we moved here.

Smelly, spiced lamb ribs roasting in the oven for us tonight.  That'll get them excited - to no avail.

How are you apart from dog minding?
