Morning chicky and NannyB /afties Pat. Are you and hubby a little better today?

Hope you get everything done chicky. I hate it when it starts getting dark at 'gettng up' time. I'm off this week but the forecast is looking a bit duff. It's only 8 degrees right now. Been out shifting plants in case the men delivering the new fridge knock my pots over. image

Sorry you're feeling a bit rubbish NB. Take it easy. These things take their own good time. Can you get some home help for you  and hubby since he's poorly too ? image

Congrats to Mr and Mrs GWRS  image

Good morning.  Looks like another perfect Vendée day out there which would be lovely if we'd had the right amount of rain so I could get on with things.  However, the cosmos I sowed and planted out is now flowering - one white, lots of different pinks and two stripey ones in amongst the gaura and agapanthus and sages and hardy geraniums.  Looks a trea altho most of the geraniums are getting a bit crispy and need a drink.

OH is shearing the hedge along the road accompanied by the dogs and Minstrel.  Cosmos is, of course, playing upstairs and helping make beds.   Cleaning day this morning then sunbathing and/or walkies on the beach while Possum surfs.

Glad you had a good hill FG and how kind of you to let that wee girl keep her cuddles.

Chicky - know what you mean about quiet offices.  Enjoy.

Pat - all you and OH can do is rest and potter when you can.  Linger too so the unwanted visitor stays away.

NB - I hope you are both feeling better today.

Hugs to all feeling below par or just needing a  hug cos it's Monday..

Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Dacha - I'm so glad I don't have a big commute to work. I did it for a while, and it's a real pain in the doodahs. Bad enough when there's a jam and you don't have some kind of deadline.

Mornig Clari - how's the house coming along? Or is that akin to swearing?  image

Car delivered, fridge freezer has been delivered and i've got it set up. Now, if it just warms up a little, there might be a chance of the washing drying. There's a faint, watery sun in the sky  image

Glad you enjoyed that one Pat. I should have some from yesterday, but it'll take me a while to sort them all. I was on the hill across from those ones yesterday. The one on the left. Bit steep coming off it, so the knees were complaining a bit. Ok today though.

Last full week before the schools go back around here and the traffic will double (if not more again).

I'm currently downloading BeechGrove to watch when I need a sit down.

Did anyone else notice a distinctly autumnal hint in the air first thing? The sun is burning through now at least.

Fairy; I don't think the house will be finished before Christmas! It's all the little details now in the lounge and bedrooms and then saving up for the next big projects (outhouse / log shed / kitchen / garden).

But we can live comfortably; and without the need for head torches image
