Getting things off your chest can be very good Hosta
I've watched the marathons, OH has thinned out the pondweed and topped the water up. Now we're both stuffed with roast beef, potatoes, parsnips, yorkies and runner beans and horseradish sauce and gravy.
I may not move for quite some time .........................................................
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Evening all. I hope everyone has had a decent weekend. Mine has whizzed by - did two afternoons of major shrub pruning and wood-chipping at in-law's. Just admiring all my scrapes and bruises! Had early shower and early supper and have that post fresh air tiredness. More than happy to have an early night...
Ob BL......our Autumn is very short but yes the leaves go reddish ......when we finally get to dacha will get a close up of the leaves.........off to bed.....night all
Don't just look at the leaves. Take a serious weapon to every stem at ground level.
FG and AR - glad you've had a good day in your own ways. Always a good feeling to have.
Dove - don't know what the French do to beef when butchering it but I did love the Yorkshires, carrots, broccoli and gravy made with red onions and red wine, not to mention the Mirabelle cobbler. Have told t'other pair if they want any more beef they should order steaks when we're out. I'm off beef for months now.
Nearly bedtime here too.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Have I told you the most amazing of news? WE HAVE DOORS!
You really wouldn't start to understand just how insanely pleasing it is to be able to shut the rumblings of a washing machine away or contain the smell of cooking until you've not had doors for so long.
Not to mention being able to effectively lock the hound out of somewhere!
I've also made my final decision on where I want the greenhouses to be relocated too; have pointed out to his lordship that ground work needs to be done before autumn to avoid a mud bath in the kitchen...
... and started staking things in front of his shed as added incentive.
