Raining here too and forecast to continue for the rest of the day.
I'm sure the booing at the medal ceremony at Athletics ( saw it on the News) was the very epitomy of "un-sportsmanship" The guy did something wrong , was punished ,served his time and the rules say he can compete again. He ran the race and won.
Neither knowing, not caring anything about sport, maybe I've got it totally wrong.
He was banned(two years) first for amphetamines, then an eight yr ban for doping. The americans argued and argued that he be let back in, the governing body caved in. I hope he was tested again on Saturday. First ban reasonable, Second ban should be for life, he obviously didn't learn the lesson the first time. Bolt is still the World Record holder.
It was great to see that it is recovering from the devastating floods, it has opened 2 new restaurants in the last year.
For those that know the place, managed a lovely walk, around Loch Muick, up to the Dubh Loch, which is a pilgrimage for me, as Eagles rock is the place a friend of mine put up some first ascents in the 1960's. Sadly he is long since dead.
Then on to BIL's at St. Andrews, where much eating, drinking and laughing occurred.
Have not read back, so hope all are well.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
fidget, I agree with a lifetime ban for all doping cheats in every sport, but the rules were applied and he was allowed to run again. Time for the rules to be changed??
Maybe the " powers that be" should look at the somewhat dodgy dealings of Seb Coe whilst they're at it.
Welcome back Punk, sounds like you have had a good time albeit you were on a mission

By the way, one nice thing is the full moon peeking over the range out the front. No clouds (they've probably been blown away).
Morning all.

Clari well done on the doors. It's the little things that make the magic. I finally had my whirliline put up and it was like a lottery win.

Hi all.
Back from bonny Scotland.
Few days in Ballater with rather frail MIL.

Sadly not, but the Queen was at Aboyne Games, a surprise visit, apparently. It was the 150th. holding of the event.
