    Hostafan1 says:

Morning Dove. How's it with you?

I've been awake since 4 and I've been watching it get light and a largely blue ish sky. Then 15 minutes ago the heavens opened and we had a deluge.

The grass will be cut today , even if it takes me ALL day.

    See original post

All is good with us thanks Hosta image  appt with GP next Wed re a referral to The Knee Man.  I take it your Lovely Hub has his decorating hat on and you'll be ferrying cups of tea across the way in between mowing the grass?  I told you, what you need is a little flock of lovely Southdown ewes ... they'll keep the grass short for you

Wonky image  glad you had lovely celebrations image  Have a nice day today.

Fairy image don't you go overdoing things!!!

It's dry here, so far, so there's a small load in the washing machine ... I've done a quick tidy upstairs and will dash to the farm shop as soon as OH has had time to organise it, then I'll be back home and watching the athletics again ... I heard from DS yesterday ... he's setting up the sound stage for the end of the marathon course on Tower Bridge  ... he's having a fantastic time, he said the atmosphere's amazing and the security is the strictest he's ever come across, some areas are really like a Ring of Steel, but no one's getting tetchy about it image

Lovely bouquet (not just a 'bunch')  Wonks  image

Dove - have you seen Valais Blacknose sheep? We've just had a rosette order for one of their shows. Absolutely gorgeous image

Sun? For three days Joyce? I'm moving down near you! I  sowed grass seed in some little gaps about a week ago, but I don't think they're going to germinate unless it warms up! It's rarely above 16 or 17 here, and if it is, it's not for long enough. Plenty of rain to water it in though. image

    Good luck Dacha.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

    Good morning all!

Sunshine at the moment here too, Joyce, and a strong breeze, so I'll be joining Hosta in lawn mowing (though mine takes all of 45 mins, including edges...).  Max temp 16, no showers until 2pm, thanks weather man.  Hope he's right.

Lovely flowers, Wonky.  Extra special for your dad when you've grown them yourself!

Yes, good luck to Dacha (and Mrs Dacha!).

I had to search on tinternet to find out what breed the pretty sheep were, decorating a hillside in N.Ireland.  Balwen.  Welsh mountain sheep, black, brown or grey, with a white blaze on their foreheads and 4 white socks.  Wouldn't mind a few of them, if I had a big garden.  image

Not all my phone photos have uploaded onto Google Photos.  Must investigate...

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Dry here, so a bit of tidying and pottering (house ? and garden ?) are the order of the day, as we also have a holiday coming up image

Good to keep busy Yvie - whats second born doing to her garden?

Slab manipulation sounds like hard labour Fairy - how's the "hot" 'stension bed coming along?

Looking forward to the Giverny pics Lizzie - we have a trip planned there next May - went about 25 years ago, so time for a return visit methinks

Looking forward to Beechgrove and GW .....like Dove, we were glued to athletics last night ????‍♀️????‍♀️
