Clari ... Wonky had M.E, throughout her teens and most of her 20s following glandular fever at age 11. However at that time there was very little known about it ... it was a long time before she got a diagnosis ... several years ... she missed a lot of school and there was very little treatment other than rest and some anti-depressants which she stopped taking as she said that the knowledge that she was taking tablets to stop her being depressed made her even more depressed. I think she'll tell you that listening to her body and not pushing herself too hard was important, as was keeping her immune system functioning as well as possible and doing stuff that made her feel good and positive.
However that was a long time ago and a lot more is known about the condition nowadays .although I think it remains a very difficult condition to diagnose .. the best people to talk to are the medical professionals you're involved with. ((hugs))
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Evening all. Home from the hill - well half an hour ago. Having a well earned cuppa
A day without any rain, and plenty of views. Not for the poor souls heading up Nevis right enough, but that's nothing new. I have to get up early to take the car to the garage, and have to walk home, so I'd better rub some liniment or summat into my thighs after my shower - think they may be a bit sore tomorrow.
Never seen so many police cars, ambulances and incident response vehicles in one day either. Tehre was an accident at Glencoe, and the alternative route was 'interesting'. The other alternative was via Oban. That would have added a bit on to the journey home
Love the grocer's sign Liri. Brilliant
Hosta - you're a card
Clari - hope you can get a bit of help and reassurance. We had a neighbour who's daughter had ME and it really affected her life. She was primary school age when we knew her. Strangely - re what Obelixx was saying, she loved one of our cats, and he became her constant companion when she was off school, especially after his sister was put down and he was a bit 'lost'. They moved back to England, as her mum could get help from her mum, and we let her take him with her. He helped her a lot.
Right - shower and bed. I'll catch up with you all tomorrow. Sleep tight.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Morning everyone, nah 6.30, isnt "up early", still getting light here in the SE normally around 5, but grey and cloudy today, started raining a little yesterday around 4, (Airbourne at Eastbourne just finnished) not been on here for about a week, had my op last week, been feeling sore, not wanting to sit here, Hubby arranged annual leave to look after me (no bending stretching etc for 14 days) AND a week ago Saturday renal colic (him) pretty poorly ever since. Meant to clear up late afternoon, would be interesting to see the eclipse.

I'll echo all that Chicky said except I probably should be getting up, but don't feel like it. Maybe later.
Morning all
. Back to the alarm clock going off in the dark ??. Hopefully thats just because it is dull and gloomy out there.
Enjoyed Beechgrove last night - seems like this NoDig thing is really gaining some credence ....made Mr C watch that bit twice over
Everyone is on holiday this week, so looking forward to a quiet week at work. Have two big things I need to crack on with,so the peace will be welcome
