The christening went well. Lunch was in a chateau hotel, very good, lovely elegant place. Haven't been there before. Lasted a long time though, very French, finished at 5pm, then we went to son's place and children played and adults chatted.
They are all coming here tomorrow for what they call a "picnic", it will be a buffet lunch for God know how many but people are bringing food, sort of "bring and share" lunch. I'm roasting 4 pork fillets and slicing them, we have loads of tomatoes and cucumbers. But it should be just family, not friends.
Pool is swimmable in but water won't be properly clear until the new pump comes. It broke down while we were on hols in England.
Veg garden is like a jungle, tall raspberry canes everywhere and everything is growing like mad, tomatoes 6ft tall branching everywhere as I wasn't there to deal with them. It rained here when we were away, quite heavily I think as water has swept into the garage leaving fine limestone dust behind.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
night all.....we are still stuck in Moscow ......more appointments at the clinic on Monday.....little yorkie wants to pee on wild lupins ......some crazy company wants to interview me to come out of retirement ......MIL is complaining that she has to manage the dacha all alone.....Boris the bat has passed away
A far greater athlete and role model than Gatlin could ever dream of being. Son said today, after being in the same room as Bolt, that he's never seen a human being so coordinated and graceful ... And sooooooo charismatic ... A remarkable man.
And with that ... Night night folks ... Sweet dreams
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Morning all......18 degrees here and blue skies ......just about to do an English Skype lesson for a little 8 year old relative >1000Km away in Tatarstan

Ahh
Glad you had a nice time Joyce. Hoping the weather is good for my weekend, but I don't really mind
My Dad was a jazz musician Dacha, so I have quite a broad spectrum of musical taste!

I can't keep up with you BL - and that's just reading about your exploits. A couple of Munros is a far easier day!
