right, that's Chris and his hostas done.

I have to confess I'm with MD on his iris splitting ( now he doesn't say  "plant them 6" deep ) compared with Chris's method.

Hiya Pat. How's the weather with you?

Morning Dove. How's it with you?

I've been awake since 4 and I've been watching it get light and a largely blue ish sky. Then 15 minutes ago the heavens opened and we had a deluge.

The grass will be cut today , even if it takes me ALL day.

    Devon.

Hi there Hosta and Dove. It's sunny, but predicted gale force winds arrived early today and have been whistling around the chimney and shaking trees.image Sat inside again. I'm not sure what my Dr would say about my lack of activity, but I'm not going out in that!

    Have a good one all.

I'm hoping for dry weather today; the washing basket is full!

Morning all/afties Pat. No - don't be going out in that weather image

Forgot to mention Mr B had been on B'grove the other night Hosta. It was good - and I don't mean just him image

It's supposed to chuck it down here later, but I'm a bit sore from slab lifting and laying yesterday, so won't be doing anything much outdoors this morning.  A job that's needed doing for a while. Was outside till nearly 8pm, and there's still a few I need to move, but that's the bit along the front of the 'stension down. Gravel etc to put in the gaps, but I think that can wait for another day.

Glad you  had a lovely holiday Liri - look forward to the photos image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

    Morning all, afternoon Pat.

We have had rain again over night, the water butt is full as are our bellies after slap up anniversary dinner! image steak, courgettes, homegrown tomatoes, new potatoes, flat mushrooms and followed by greengage flan and cream image

Off to spend the day with Papa Womble in the countryside, bit of a gloomy day for it but frankly after working in the raging heat for three months, as a gardener, I honestly don't mind if autumn arrives tomorrow! I'll send any good weather your way Hosta and Raisingirl!

Dove I'll send your love to the Laxfield locals!

Hope everyone has a lovely day! image

Morning all, been awake since 5. Another week of Firstborn's hols gone.  They come home next Saturday can't wait to see them.  Planning on a bit of gardening today if the rain holds off.  Nothing else on the agenda. Spent yesterday helping Secondborn sort her garden out.  Lots of Jonah cuddles and playtime.  I'm a bit achey but glad to be busy. Enjoy your Saturday.
