Hosta ... don't go overdoing it ... I love the 'slightly tousled' look in a garden  image

if it were only "'slightly tousled' , I'd not mind.

The 'stiff breeze' we have here today is resulting in this garden looking more windswept than tousled ... but it is getting the washing dry image

It's a lot more "salmon" in real life.

Grey bits, blue bits, windy bits.  No wet bits.   Cooking today so we can have a picnic tomorrow as we're taking the dogs with us.   Simmering a chuck in good stock to make a pastilla when it's cooled and a courgette loaf plus salads.   Should hit the spot.

I have a Karcher steam cleaner after the light model with the triangular head died.  Very effective but clearly designed for short people and they didn't get anyone arthritic to test the access to the water reservoir and the single cloth cover for the steam head was obviously never tested in anger by a woman with tiled floors, 2 dogs and an OH all living with a large garden and country walks.  I have improvised and now it works well.

Love chicken livers with lardons and salad.  Love lamb's liver cooked Venetian style.

Saw just a bit of GW last night but have it recorded for catching up.  it's on again later this afternoon too and tomorrow am for anyone who missed it.

Busy - your mojo will return and your garden looks lovely anyway.   Which cake are you making?

WW - glad you've got over your bug.  I am staying away from porn till I find a lorry load or 3 of manure and then I'll sow from my stock of seeds bought in anticipation............

Pat - Have you any blackcurrant?   Makes a change form lemon and honey.

Brain fogging now.  Need more coffee.  Have a good one everyone.

Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Think my washing might come back in just the same as it went out!  image

    Ah well.

I'll send you over some rain Obelixx. I'm bored with it now. I've got digging to do and it's miserable outside. I'll have to do h****work  image

Hope to walk tomorrow - fog for the morning but looking ok later, so I might get back to those lovely Mamores. It's a bit of a rain/thunder/lightning type of outlook otherwise for the next few days. Hope it improves for the end of the week -  where I'm going anyway.

I wouldn't be able to have your waterlily Hosta. Can't abide salmon - except when it's salmon... image

Looks in great nick though.  image

Not sure where tousled stops and windswept begins....but my sweet peas are getting a right faceful of elements  image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

I'm not usually a 'salmon' fan either Fairy, (except for the fish) but I'm sure Hosta's lily is a wonderful delicate and tasteful shade of pink with just a hint of coral and I'll love it image

I was out in the garden picking yet more sweet peas (thank you Wonky xxx) when I felt some spots of rain so grabbed all the washing off the line and rushed indoors ... most of the washing was beautifully dry and finished but the sheets are still a trifle damp so I draped them on racks in the study ... so now the sun has come out again image

If I get the lawnmower out it'll rain again won't it?  I might as well do the baking that I was going to do tomorrow this afternoon and leave the grass until tomorrow ... at least there'll be two of us so one can mow and the other can edge if time is limited.  Just checked the forecast ... dry all day tomorrow until the evening ... that decided then. image

Haven't used our mower since mid June Dove.  Expect it'll need the batteries charging to start the motor now.

Good decision to bake.  What'll you make?  I made a blackberry cobbler yesterday but Possum says she doesn't like blackberries so I did the cobbler separately, like scones.  She was well impressed her mum loves her enough to deconstruct a cobbler but then complained I'd forgotten the almonds on top!
