Morning all. Just spent ages reading back.

I love runner beans. I blanche them, if you don't then they don't taste nice later, dry them, cool them, then put them on trays to freeze before bagging them up. Then they don't stick together.

Loved Robert Hardy, at least he reached a good age.

Busy day today. Latest grandson (son 2) is being christened tomorrow. Daughters x 2 and Son 1 and families arriving here tonight. Need to go to supermarket and prepare some food and make a bed. Did most of the others before going on hols. 8 grandchildren will be staying, some on mattresses on the floor, includes a baby granddaughter but she'll be in a cot possibly in a bathroom, but no - son 2 isn't staying so someone can have his room.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

I think I've sent less than 10 text messages in my life.

    See original post

I find texts really useful, especially for family ... it means I can send a message to Wonky, her brother or my brother during the day when they're at work, and they can respond when they're free to do so ... if I phone and they're at work, or driving somewhere, it interrupts what they're doing.

No good sending a text to OH ... he probably won't have his phone with him, and if he has it probably won't be charged up ... unless he's in London and I'm at home, then he makes sure he's contactable.

Morning everyone, afternoon Pat image thank you all for the anniversary wishes! image HMRC decided to send me an £85 tax rebate to celebrate!  Sorry for my absence lately, hands have been pretty bad so have been resting them.

Haven't even read back yet, spent yesterday doing practical things like shed clearing and tip visiting. Garden is looking a little shaggy round the edges! Took a tonn bag of garden waste to the tip and had two chaps wrestle it out of my Clio and insist on emptying it all for me! Didn't tell them I can lift 16 stone and am a gardener for a living! imageimage nice to have help offered! image

Hope everyone has a lovely day!

I think we've had about 3 totally rain free days in about the last 3 or 4 weeks.
