Obelixx, I haven't grown blackcurrants since i lived in Canberra (1997), so no I don't grow them now and I haven't noticed any in the stores either, but I think I have some ancient black currant tablets somewhere that I got for Bladder infection, I think it was. Must have a clean out of my medicine box.
Joking aside, thanks for the suggestion. I suspect the only way to get some would be to buy a bottle cordial. Trouble is, neither of us feel up to driving into town at the moment. Tough life here in the boon docks.
we've just hit the sack, so I'll probably turn off shortly.
What a beauty Hosta....you're right it's a cooling 18 degrees in the lake .....and Fairy ...it's easy to warm up .....it's 30 in the shade at the mo.....night Pat
Wonky lovely to hear you enjoying job so much, I am imagining you in the rose garden and listening to the radio whilst weeding!
Pat you will hopefully feel better tomorrow At least "she" won't visit. She could have phoned to see if there is anything you need tho?
Busy L I feel the same, the wild side of the garden is overwhelming just now and I just don't seem to have the energy The new grandchildren seem to have taken over my time this summer. Rightly so!
OH has dug out some stumps in the wood giving a good figure of 8 to walk thro now. I will need to get some bulbs
my rather cheeky ex neighbour came round last night still wanting to raid my garden for her entries in a local show today. She is rather frowned upon as she is a professional florist. I will hear later what "I" have won?

WW - glad you've got over your bug. I am staying away from porn till I find a lorry load or 3 of manure and then I'll sow from my stock of seeds bought in anticipation............
I used to have an old aunt who talked about having "the dry boke"
Pat, sorry you are both still feeling pretty rotten. A case of warmth and sleep until you feel better.
Prevention of money laundering involved my daughter in a four hour drive up yesterday in order for the solicitor to see her passport. She has just left for the drive home. We live in crazy times
I am cold and sick to the back teeth of wet and windy weather with the odd glimpse of sun. Gardening today has been done fifteen minutes at a time, between showers and getting my hands warmed up again
Obelixx, you will get rain eventually. Frustrating for you when the lack of it is delaying your planting plans.
Have got stuck into HW instead of gardening. Some bits are long overdue I expect the spiders are cursing me, the ones that escaped that is! The new window washing thing is fine but it only does my bigger panes. There are a lot of small paned glass doors here. Dining room and kitchen floors washed.
Buying our cottage in Norfolk was a bit complicated. OH had to get his money from selling his French house back into England. Also buying my car, you can't just give a cheque anymore, or even use a debit card for that sort of thing. I had to send copies of my French identity card to the banks to get them to transfer the money to the garage.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Erm... what kind of porn is it you're in too Ob??
I wish the weather would make it's mind up; I've washing that needs to dry!
OH has asked me to ask if anyone has seen a good film on tv recently. He is in charge of viewing choices on weekends and is obviously in bother today.
all suggestions welcome

PP; we have a steam mop. You can mop and mop and as soon as it's dry mop again and it seems to find more dirt.
It is brilliant though!
LP, I have given up too and am making chicken, leek and potato soup to provide some inner warmth.
