Hosta - some people are just dirty bandits. Youngest often watches that Nightmare Tenants prog with me. I know how vile people can be, and I'm still astounded at some of them. We also like Can't Pay, We'll Take It Away - or, as it's known in our house 'A' The A***holes'
I can think of something Iain. You harvest them, and then walk straight to the compost bin...and carefully deposit them in there....
Obelixx - that's a real pain in the doodahs about the beds. Can't you do them yourself - do you have a jigsaw? I could have helped you - but you're a bit far away....
Sorry you're still feeling a bit low Yvie. The weather really doesn't help does it? Been manky here all afternoon, and none too warm. Hey ho - that's August
I love Pat's photos from this morning. Beautiful when you get that light in the sky.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I know how you feel , when you mentioned the wet mattress protector I immediately remembered ...for some strange reason dandelions from my childhood in Dublin .....then I realised why , we used to call them "piss in the beds" .....I thought this was just a crazy memory then I found this .....
DL - In French they're called Pissenlits - same as the Irish then.
FG - OH is out at hairdresser's and then golf all day tomorrow so I shall get out my trusty saw and the power drill which I will remember to charge tonight and I shall flipping well re-do one bed as I want it.
Been out to a pyrotechnic show tonight at the prehistoric centre at St Hilaire de Ré. Started with a wench dressed in odd caveman type clothes who made a fire from 2 bits of stone, some dried mushroom, a dried reed head and some dried grass. Impressive. This then lit the torches that lit the show. Good fun and even funny in parts.
Home now to ecstatic dogs and kittens so cuddles, coffee and bed in due course. Sleep well everyone.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

We always called the 'wet the beds' here, but I hadn't known why. Thanks Dacha.
Im snuggled in bed at 9.15am after peeking out the window and noticed how heavy the frost is this morning. Nothing planned today anyway, so hey ho! I might just lay here and think of sunny days.
