Sorry to all the arachnophobes but I found these two last night and I'm working on my nocturnal photos. A harvestman that seems to be another invasive species that might be quite harmful to some native harvestmen and an odd crab spider that I've never seen before, but with all those eyes he's probably seen me. Harvestmen are just amazing creatures when you look at them in detail.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
Presumably the caterpillar of the Knot Grass Moth (Acronicta rumicis) was rather taken by the orange highlights. Was found munching on the reverse of a rhubarb leaf that I cut off earlier.
He's really beautiful @amancalledgeorge That's certainly a very unusual harvestman, and certainly very attractive @wild edges. I suppose it's inevitable we might get ones which aren't good for our usual ones though, no matter how bonny they are.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Is it a wee cricket @sarinka? @wild edges might know.
@Fire - yon beast of yours from the 16th August is like the creature in Alien....
