Not an insect, I know, but I was chuffed to spot this in my garden yesterday, on the wall of my house!
Found this little guy hiding from the rain in a rosebud (Vanessa Bell), you can see the eyes if zoomed in — forgive the iPhone photos.
I'm assuming it's some variety of miridae but can't pin it down beyond that.
It looks like Deraeocoris flavilinea.
