Another uncommon insect today. A female ichneumon sarcitorius.  Apparently they shouldn't be out until July which says a lot about the recent weather I imagine.

If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

Took last night sat on one of our last daffodils in pots. OH noticed it when coming down from the garden here in South Wales. Rare they said on here! It's a goldenrod crab spider, they come in a white colour also you might of seen in your garden.  Raining now but will venture out after to see if it's still around! Got to go and check on the dreaded Lily beetles, a few about now.

Very cool. I've seen them in white but never in yellow.

Interesting specimen of that crab spider in its yellow suit, @Valleys girl ; not easy to spot on that daffodil of exactly the same colour! Well-done!
I actually posted a crab spider in the white variety here: https://forum.gardenersworld.com/discussion/comment/2180203#Comment_2180203

Love seeing the green tiger beetles out on sunny days.
