I'm surprised it can see where its going. I noticed in my bee pics of the weekend that they seemed to have pollen all over their eyes. I'm surpirsed it's not v uncomfortable.
Found this on Google. "Plant pollen tends to appear yellow because it contains flavonoids, which are generally yellow in color. These flavonoids are known to have UV-B protective properties, and may be responsible for helping to protect the plant's gametes from accumulating harmful mutations due to radiation exposure from the sun." I never really thought about it before. Just assumed it was always yellow. Despite the fact that the pink is outside the kitchen door!
Some hives must look like an explosion in a paint factory - if you had pink, blue, green and yellow pollen coming in. It's a shame it doesn't transfer to Pollock neon honey. That would be a thing to see.
