Great creepy crawly photos. Must go out with my camera and be a bit more observant. We have some ragwort in our paddock so I'll check that too before I pull it up to make it safe for its new tenants - 3 horses.

Of course this thread is open for all to post their pics of insects, preferably with their ID (when known).
Thanks to all and esp. to Dove, DG2 and PANSY for their kind comments. More macrophotos of insects to be seen on my photo site at http://www.rezeau.org/wp-photo/en/welcome/
The hapless herpetologist's pics of dragonfly might be one of the Aeshna family. I have lots of dragonflies and damselflies on my photo site and, for the curious, a slide-show of a Downy Emerald dragonfly metamorphosis at http://www.rezeau.org/wp-photo/en/downy-emerald/
Hope we'll get more insects pics in this thread. Despite the war waged on the little critters by MONSANTO et al.

I think you're a bunch of showoffs with these glamorous critters. Well I don't care because I have hundreds of woodlice AND I KNOW ALL THEIR NAMES.
