oooh gluten free cakes too DD?? I'd best get my passport out! Brilliant news about getting some extra help in. Poor Charlie's head must be spinning especially when he'd probably just got used to it being you and him. HOW brilliant he has the confidence to talk to customers AND to teach them French! I couldn't do that now!
Brrrr! It's nearly midday and I've been out trying to hang washing on the line. The southerly was so strong and freezing, that I had to ask Hubby to come and hold the clothes line from turning around so that I could get the clothes pegged on. I know they were predicting high winds in the ski fields, but I wasn't expecting to share it with the skiers. Hubby has made me a hot cuppa and I'm trying to get some normal colour back into my finger tips. Not looking forward to putting the second load out.
- Pat, I hope your fingers have warmed up. Washing should be dried quickly.
I am too warm and thirsty so cuppa is going down well.
the forecast had predicted a thunderstorm for our area @ early evening yesterday. It didn't materialise but the high winds we'd had all day suddenly stopped at tea time and there was a light shower. Now raining heavily.
Hi Joyce. Yes fingers warmed up now and second load of washing out. That's it for about 5 days hopefully.
Sorry you're feeling the heat. It's awful when it is hot in the bedroom. A few years ago we had a small reverse cycle air con installed in the bedroom for that reason. In summer, if you open the windows of a night, insects which are smaller than mosquitoes can get through the fly wire and nip at you when you're reading, so we have to keep the windows closed until lights out. In winter it heats the room enough until we're snuggled in bed.
Hey Hostafan, "Ladies" ooh, sexist!!! There is probably some "law" against it. Can you lot get your head around, ALL sexist, steriotypical adverts are to be banned, YET, its fine to see complete strangers having sex live on TV, and a naked "speed dating show".this country, honestly. Shall we all revolt against the TV licencing fee after knowing how much the likes of Chris Evans earn, he said on TV news, he agreed the women should earn the same as the men, so he will be taking a pay cut of 1.5 million, then? We had rain, yeah, raining a little now, at least I havent got to water. Did all my washing yesterday, so feeling pretty smug. Whereabouts in your foot is the pain? I had what I thought was plantar fashiitus, sorry cant remember spelling, saw at Doc in the ED of the hospital where work, I couldnt put my foot to the floor, (Oh, I didnt deliberately change the font)all he did was give me heavy duty painkillers, went back to my ward (HU stroke unit) friends said OMG dont take therm. Then I went to a Podiatrist, ( the bio-dynamic expert) turned out to be nerve in back, causing the problem. No gardening, today, left the ****** mower out in the rain.

Hope you can get back to sleep soon.
Hope so too Pat.
Morning ladies, and those to come.
I've just put the sprinkler on in the Hosta Tunnel and having my first cuppa. ( Hubby fast asleep. I've been awake since 5)
Heavy rain last night and the dark clouds are quickly moving East and the sun is breaking through.
I'm hoping to get the grass cut today and have lined up some chores for Hubby.
I've developed this pain in my foot which is stopping me putting any weight on it. No idea what I've done to it.
Morning early birds
Just seen a bird I didn't recognise on the feeders - too big for a wren, looks like a tiny thrush. Got the books out and it is a baby robin

Raining overnight here too - so blueberry picking for my morning porridge was a damp affair
But the garden will have welcomed some more moisture
Hope the foot rights itself soon Hosta
