National Orgasm Day ... really?  Only one day a year?    Shame image

I remember when I worked at an arts venue and we had a regular visitor who was elderly and liked to be thought of as eccentric .......... she phoned me up to tell me about a radio programme she'd just heard "My dear, it's all about the female orgasm! she shouted down the phone ... "It's being repeated tomorrow evening!" she said ... "you must listen to it".

"I will"  I promised .... "if I'm not having one." image

She roared with laughter, and every time she visited for an exhibition or recital she insisted on telling people about that conversation image

    Joyce21 says:

"Man shed"........why then Clari, is it you and the dog doing the digging ?

    See original post

The man shed was put in several years ago and the waste soil (along with the waste soil of my pond) was heaped here til we decided what we wanted to do with this patch of land.

The garden is very much my play area and an area that I am learning that if the OH offers to do something... It's best to crack on yourself.

If I just dig a little bit each night I should be able to manage. This is where I want the greenhouse moving too so I've plenty of motivation!

You learn something on here everyday.

    I better tell the OH.

Chicky, eek, is that a snake? Can't focus well enough on my iPad mini.

i still haven't read the posts all the way back to where I was when we left here on Friday. am reading little bits every now and then.

We are relaxing in bed at the moment with no worries that someone might come in to clean the room image  And when we got into bed last night, the electric blanket had warmed it up for us and we had flannelette sheets instead of cotton. Wheeeee!  Also had lots of blankets on. Heaven! No place like home.

Nothing planned for today. I've got a new colouring book though.image

Happy 1st August when you all wake up.

Dove ...NOD.....classic....we have had a bit of bad day here....the local guy who helps dig the wells as we don't have piped water was crushed by a landfall and broke his ischium ....all the local serious workers here are what the Russians call kulibins.....jacks- of-all trades......so a bit of a whip-round is needed.....no insurance for these guys here unfortunately   image

Thinking about cook books - I absolutely wouldn't like to be without my "Complete Middle East Cookbook" by Tess Mallos. Mind you, I probably know most of my favourite recipes by heart now after having this book for about 30 years.image

sunny but cool here today. We got 17 mm rain yesterday. Very thankful for it too.
