Very interesting Pat , thanks, our little guy is really suffering a lot and we know of course it's not 'if' but 'when' ....our travel plans are always built around the well-being of our beloved pet.....we have to impose on people to look after him when we go anywhere. The thing is there is so much love from dogs we would trade anything for it ....I like this article ....made me smile ...warmlyimage http://stories.barkpost.com/dogs-love-us-like-family/

Couldnt open it, Dacha, but Hubby will probably be able to do so when he gets home. I'm hopeless at those things.

hi Clari. Hope the ear settles soon.

Morning all/afties Pat - hope you're not too chilly!

Dacha - I was unsure which bit was the dog....image image

Sorry your wife has a long trip ahead - and not for a good reason. I'm sure you can amuse yourself on here for a while with all these lucky folk who don't have to go to work on a lovely sunny day...not that I'm jealous or anything. Not at all...honest...no sirree...image

Migth be too hot for me anyway Joyce - above twenty and I'm useless. image

Glad you enjoyed the stonechat. He was delightful. Would have liked to get closer but the ground wouldn't have allowed it easily and he'd have disappeared like a shot with me blundering through the heather! The colour on his chest was stunning.

Hope the ear gets better soon Clari. Horrible thing to have. I'm very fortunate that I've never had ear infections of any kind - or the girls. Some people have lots of bother with them.

What a pain about the lily Hosta. I'd have thought a pic would help along with the receipt. Tricky though.

Better go and organise myself for another day at t'mill. I wonder who'll phone today with  'err.. I forgot to order my rosettes and I need five hundred of them and fifty sashes for Saturday'....

Have a good day all. Catch you later

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Morning all.

7 hours sleep last night. That's what I totalled Sat and Sun nights , so , on balance "good"

I'm calling the GC at 9 to explain about the plant. It's still in the pot with all their labels and I've got the receipt. Should be no problem .

Coal face at 12 but not sure what I can face doing beforehand. Overcast and breezy here.

Dacha, don't desert us. We need more chaps on the Forum. ( those girls gang up on us and they're 'orrid to us) shhhh, don't tell them I said that. image

    Morning all.

I've not been about much and have only read back a few pages. Blimey! image

Manners, manners, manners. That's my final say...and respect....that's definitely it now!

Clari where is he??? Have him washed and brought to my tent!!!!!!! image I do like a chap who's been knitted. (I hope your ear starts to improve soon. A sore ear or toothache are the worst!).

My garden is starting to look a little bit respectable. We've had much less rain than normal, I have a garden guy for an hour or so a week (to do heavy manly work image) and I've given my mojo a bit of a poke so the place is taking shape... in places.

Who said Autoglym? Fidget? Best stuff on the market. Good for plastic window frames too!

    Hi all.

Glorious day in prospect today, followed by the inevitable thunder storms tomorrow.

Lawn cutting day, so that will keep me out of trouble for a few hours.

Off to see mum in her new flat at the w/e, sisters have been the first two since she moved in.

I am not a geek, but love Dr. Who, expect a visit from the Daleks later Hosta.

Sorry Dr Who fans. Like Pat, I've not watched since Jon Pertwee, well, maybe a bit of Tom Baker. I used to find it odd that all the "aliens" were of vaguely human sized proportions. Might aliens not be  4m tall, or less than 1m? ( or couldn't they find the actors to fit the costumes? image)

For me it's like all the " he's tipped to be the next James Bond" whoooooooosh , right over my head. The last Bond film I watched was Live and let die.
