Chey ... we decided long ago when we started Hello Forkers that we're all 27 ... the perfect age ... old enough to get all the perks of being grown up without having to be 'grown up'.......... so all Forkers have always been 27 ... I'm 27, and Wonky Womble (who is my daughter) is also 27 We will always be 27
You can be 27 too if you like

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Nah, 27 wasnt a good year. Chey I hope you DO in fact own a "Hoover" I cant be doing with folk saying they are hoovering, if thats isnt the case, as a Hoover is a brand name not a verb!
All these sad stories on here, about celebrating Birthday (or not) poor little Charlie gard almost, on his 1st Birthday, I make no comment either way, as a Mum you want your children to live and thrive.Heartbreaking! On a lighter note, I am SURE my Birthday (and Christmas) comes round much quicker as I am getting older! The rain eases off a little I think I might get out there, then it starts pounding again.
Don't bother much about my birthday any more except as an excuse to go for a good meal or if/when OH mucks up the present despite having received hints and even a list weeks in advance. It's not like a birthday is a short notice, surprise event after all these years.
Freezer delivered. Nothing wrong with the old one except an irreplaceable door seal - so frustrating. Anyway, the new one comes on wheels for ease of movement and only needs a 2 hour settling period. Excellent.
Pots all watered while I waited and some plants in the ground too since OH isn't here to see euro signs going up on the water meter.
Hosta - I do hope it all goes smoothly. I don't do computer games either and never did, even when the first space invaders appeared at the software house where OH and I both worked.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.
"The price good men (and women) pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men (and women)."
Good afternoon/evening ... that time between 5-7 is a bit of a gray area - prevening?
Just finished a marathon jigsaw session with littlest niece! She had done a project in the week - put some Aquilegia seeds in little pouches with her own labels to give to friends and family - really cool idea!
Hope everyone ok - what's everyone doing this evening? I fancy a film but hate the cinema faff - rather be at home with wine and sofa (and kittens).
Punkdoc, I think that's a good decision and Mrs Pd must be relieved.
NB, I do hoovering with a Hoover, have done it for over 40 years. Have 2 Hoovers at the moment, a big upright for Dordogne house and a little battery one for the Norfolk cottage. First Hoover was a wedding present from MIL. Tried a Dyson once, didn't like it then it broke down, no repair man in Dordogne.
Went to Sainsbugs this morning for some groceries to take back to France and some bread and loo rolls, also to ironmongers for a new showerhead - now that the curtain is up.
This afternoon we visited 4 local gardens open in aid of the church. One was small and full of annuals, not a weed in site, owned by an elderly gentleman. Another was huge and rambly, mostly lawns, trees, shrubs and river frontage. Had a big, strong Pimms there. Had tea at a lovely old farmhouse with island beds of shrubs and perennials. Turned out it was the family who own our favourite local pub as well as the farm.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

tee hee, you can put your games time down as " research"
When I was in school, the ( singular ) computer was pushed around on 2 or 3 trolleys and wired together by men in white coats.
I'd just like to point out that some of us are not yet at that stage!
The lawn has been cut: wasn't entirely dry but dark clouds are appearing and if it's left much longer we're in danger of losing tennis balls to it.
you're no more than a child yourself Clari my dear.
I did say " most" ( he says in his own defense )
