Lovely to have a relax rather than actual gardening sometimes. I do count wandering round with a cuppa and dead-heading with the other hand 'gardening' though - and plenty of that goes on.
Had a fright this evening as one of the kittens managed to climb behind a chair and get caught on a radiator pipe - I seriously thought he had snapped his neck - made me cry and everything. Kittens are cute, cuddly, manic and a bit naughty but I didn't bargain for such peril everywhere. I thought we had kitten-proofed pretty well but now I have gone into protective-mum mode. Hope I don't get all silly about it - I'll be too nervous to let them do anything otherwise.
Bedtime is well overdue... night all and hope everyone has a good kip to set them up for the week ahead.
. Punkdoc, as usual you managed to give me a couple of good laughs. Always very welcome.
I have been wondering why more men don't chat on this forum, and those that do don't usually complain about their wives irritating habits. Are they more accepting of our little traits or just more private. Maybe they'd rather be out doing their favourite things instead of sitting inside chatting. Hmmm! Someone might be able to give some light on the matter.
We were planning on getting up early and doing some more firewood cutting and rearranging the wood tank into better order, but since it's still cold, we are snuggled under the bedclothes again and reading on our iPads. This retirement stuff is hard to take.
We had a visit from our friend Regina last night and since she has a bad back opted to lay on a mat on the floor rather than sit on a soft lounge chair. She chatted all the way through Australian Ninja Warrior which she claims she likes to see. I ended up putting ear phones in and watched the show without listening. As it happened, she couldn't see me because of the coffee table.
liri, well done. With the singing and Fairy, lovely new photo. Glad you finished last week's walk.
Hosta I had a giggle about the old dear parking in the wrong spot. It reminded me of going grocery shopping on pension day. Both of us were in a really bad mood by the time we'd finished last week. I'd estimate that EVERY isle had an old dear with the trolley sideways and pondering which brand to buy or catching up on her friends gossip. Of course this situation is exacerbated by Woolworths reducing the size of their isles! Coles are only marginally better, but at least Aldi have decent sized isles.

Maybe , as a man, I can shed (excuse the pun) some light on this delicate subject. The only irritating habit my wonderful wife has is complaining about my irritating habits .......don't we all do it . The other point is my wife studied psychology .....to be irritatingly correct .....child psychology......which comes in irritatingly handy when she has me to deal with .
Seriously , I have now retired , for the third time and I love this forum but sometimes I really do feel like I am sticking my nose into a private conversation .....like now. I read the wonderful comments then write something .......then pause .......think ......'shall I post this ?' ......ahh why not !
The sharing of gardening tips interspersed with the genteel personal interchange between all the wonderful characters on here is fascinating ..........or is it the other way round ......the sharing of genteel personal.....you get what I mean
Actually , this is one of my favorite things , I try to imaging what each of you are like .....and have a good chuckle to myself when I read things like NB said the other day 'Daily mail , sorry for swearing '.....or Sweaty Betty says ....'that's me" ......Dove's ,actually her full moniker Dovefromabove really explains how I feel as it would appear that she has a unique helicopter view of what is going on and tries to respond to everybody's comments including yours truly which makes me feel like I am not sticking my nose in .....so there ...full circle

Hi Fairy! Lovely pic - glad you enjoyed your day.
Fairy....beautiful , RLS would be proud of this picture to go with the words
Fairy - is that scoured rock or white flowers in the foreground?
Thought of you on a hill as very strong winds battered the garden this morning. It was nice and sunny though.
Liri - good to hear concerts went very well
Is there just a slight danger that this might be getting the tiniest bit sexist.
Anyway on other matters: have just watched Logan, for any of you who enjoy The X men franchise, it is a very different type of movie.
Didn't do any gardening in the end, decided it was a lovely afternoon for a G@T or 2. In the end we sort of missed dinner.
Finally going to see GP tomorrow to discuss blood test results.
Sleep well.

Quite, Dachalover. Off to town now, so I'll be off line for a couple of hours.
OK, I'll be quite
