A bit like 'jiffy 7' coir pots but with a mesh outer skin that is supposed to compost down or the plant grows through it. It's an easy way for nurseries to grow plug plants from seed. Unfortunately the plants generally just strangle to death because the 'tea bag' fails to disappear

Punk it seems you didn't finish things the last time ! Perhaps you always knew in your own mind that you wanted to return. Did you feel cheated after being sent back wounded?

its been said before but talking  will make the decision. The beautiful countryside will help

Afties all. Sorry Hosta - it's about 17 and breezy just now and it seems to have cleared up properly, as opposed to the showers and very short sunny breaks of the morning. Going outside soon to enjoy it  image

I'll echo the others doc, and remember, if you come up here for 'discussions' and misbehave, there's a chance I may turn up and give you what for ....image

It's a nice suggestion Dove, re the birthday thing. I know a few people who have birthdays at Christmas, so  they often do their birthdays in June instead. Not sure I like that idea though!

Joyce - I 've posted the seeds today, so you should get them tomorrow image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Afternoon all.

His lordship is out for the night, the dog is spark asleep, and the weather is too damp to potter in the garden.

Cuddling with a blanket and hunting a good book it is! :)

Apparently we're saving the new log fire for the first frost. Which will be a lovely treat but I haven't been able do any washing all week as it's so wet out and since I was at work last weekend the knicker drawer is in danger of *those* pants coming out!

A gentle fire would do wonders for the back log in the washing basket.

Been working like stink cuz the family of the estate spend the whole of august at the place so everything has to be perfect! Came home with unwanted snapdragons, orange wonder and apple blossom types. That will fill the planters after the larkspur have finished. image
